One of the first characters struck with the reworking stick, Fermi's overhaul was in the pipeline before the larger rewrite was underway. His character has gone through a number of iterations, having originally been created years prior for a long scrapped story. This particular version of him, featuring a design distinct from the previous releases of S&M, was a result of us working on a parallel project that remains unannounced.
The full resolution of his portrait is also one of the few that doesn't match the dimensions of the others, as his was actually the first to be worked on for the fork. It wouldn't be until later that we'd standardize the framing and size of the portraits.
Fresh face and personality! The iteration previously seen in S&M has been largely done away with. As such, you'll have to get to know the new him–it'll be best to check your original thoughts of him at the door, they won't do you much good!
For all intents and purposes, the Fermi seen in the previous builds of S&M is dead and buried, right alongside just about everything else that didn't work.
