The next build is coming together! ^^

I thought it'd be interesting to compare two very different characters, one familiar and one new.

Wren is a number of things–especially by the events of S&M–but he is anything but an ideologue.

It's been 31 years since we last saw him in The Mirror Eater, and in those interceding years his view of the world has largely been extinguished.

His detached radicalism is a far cry from his more argumentative neoteric time in university–and his portrait reflects this, dull hues are encroached upon by the calm blue of constructivism.

There's no threat to him; he capitulated years ago.

Ferowa is certainly not a Wren-type.

The poison of modernism radiates from him, and it was important to convey the immediate reaction you as the player (through the eyes of Jensey) have to him.

Ferowa wouldn't look nearly as unsettling when seeing him face-to-face, but these portraits have only one foot in reality. You shouldn't always trust them.

He represents an existential threat in the mind of Jensey: he is a modernist, a new flavor of totalism that'll soon end the world… at least in your mind.

Only time will tell if you're proven correct.
