I've loved this cruise ship 'vacation' assassin arc we've been in for EPISODES now!
It feels like for so much of Spy x Family, Yor has carried this quiet uncertainty within herself. She is so full of love for her family, but she always seemed afraid that the person she is. The assassin. Thorn Princess. Would eventually make her unworthy of the life she is building.But her realization of her "why" was beautiful. Scary, a little bit LOL. But beautiful.She isn't an assassin for money anymore. It's not because she needs to protect and support Yuri anymore. It's not because she has no other choice, either. It's because she wants to protect the people she loves. All of them.Her realization reminded me of Twilight. On the surface, they're both still doing the same jobs they've always done. A spy. An assassin. But somewhere along the way, their reasons changed completely. What started as duty is slowly melting into something so much more personal.This entire "vacation" had them all realizing this.Whether they want to really admit it or not.. Family means something now.I loved getting to follow Yor through her mission and spend so much time in her perspective. Watching all of her doubts rise to the surface, seeing her question her purpose, and then arrive at such a beautiful conclusion. It made this arc one of my favorites so far. Yor realizing that her strength isn't what separates her from her family anymore..
