I LOVE Deadpool and I think one of my favorite things about these movies is still the contrast between him and the X-Men. Unfortunately though, I do have a huge personal pet peeve with sequels... And it's when they take jokes that landed really well the first time around and basically just do them all over again. But louder. And with more chaos glitter thrown on top 😅 I felt like Deadpool 2 did that A LOT.. Like way too much. And it made most of the humor way less funny to me this time around. I wanted something NEW & hilarious! But I just got baby legs instead of baby hand and it was way more disturbing here LOLI also have to say that some of the humor surrounding Russell was just not for me. The whole prison pouch thing.. This kid is FOURTEEN?! Why is he in prison first of all. Second of all, how does he even know what a prison pouch is?! I know it's Deadpool and inappropriate is obviously a huge part of the deal, but some of it just crossed from funny and outrageous to just being really weird and uncomfortable for me. There were moments where I was just sitting there a bit stunned like... who wrote this and WHY is this happening right now?! 🤣I feel like that plus the recycled jokes just made this one not my favorite.But hey! There was still plenty to love. The X-Men humor continues to be one of my favorite parts of these movies.
