DESCRIPTION

The last few days have been exhausting and stupid, but my computer is back up and running. Work will now continue as normal.

Thank you everyone for your patience, as well as those offering genuine advice or their personal assistance. I'm sure everyone can relate to a mysterious computer ailment that takes a village to exorcise.

For those curious, a description of my adventure, as condensed as I can make it:

-Computer would not get past boot screen (initial screen with motherboard logo), and the motherboard put up code A2. This code has something to do with issues finding a path to a boot drive, so says Google. Screen was unresponsive to two separate keyboards.

-I have two boot drives (long story). I identified and removed one of my boot drives that was causing the error code, and succeeded in getting to BIOS. However, my boot sequence was now empty, despite my remaining valid boot drive.

-This drive was proven healthy, and the location of the boot loader files was even found, but I was unable to get two separate motherboards to identify it. Attempts were made via command prompt to identify or heal the issue with the drive's boot loader. Results were bewildering and unfruitful.

-Being at the end of my rope and with a desire to return to work no matter what, I did what I had been doing everything I could to avoid, which was a fresh reinstall of Windows. I backed up my files, wiped the drive and reinstalled Windows. And here we are.

If you want more gory details of everything I tried, please close your eyes and gently scrub those desires away from your mind. I would prefer to stop being a computer doctor for a while and get back to the important business of painting veins on penises.
