I fear for your Sims

Hey Everyone and welcome to the Fear Not Mod!

As I mentioned in a previous post, you all voted for the Fear Not mod to come to life and I'm here to deliver! Apologies for the longer wait than normal, had some technical issues that needed my attention.

Just a quick reminder before we move on further, this mod is based on mental health but I want to underscore that it will not be fully in depth nor is it meant to be taken as 100% representation of real life therapy!

The Fear gameplay is great but I felt that sometimes it works a little too well. Sometimes, I find it can be difficult to overcome your sims fears and I wanted an alternative way to deal with said fears.

This mod allows your sims to essentially go to a counselor or fear therapist and get the help they need!

STARTS WITH A CALL

In order to access the Fear Not App, Sims will first need to have...well..a fear! Just one fear is enough for the app to become accessible through the phone or the computer. Once there, they can use the app to schedule their first consultation appointment:

Sims will get a confirmation notification + a moodlet (they'll either be happy or scared about the upcoming appointment)

Give or a take a day or two, your sims will be sent to their first appointment:

I wanted it to be an option if sims want to opt out of any future sessions or they can continue on with the process. A Behavioral Technician will contact your sims afterwards:

There are currently 3 total sessions after the first consultation (so 4 in total). The Second session will ask your sims which fear they want to work on:

The Sessions will only over ONE fear at a time but you can continue the sessions until you've completely removed all your fears. The Fourth and Final Session will ask if you feel you've conquered your fears or not. You can choose to say yes or choose to say no if you feel you need more time or for the plot!

Patients will also need to pay for a bill every 5 Days and will get an alert when its time to pay: (payable through the Patient Portal)

While enrolled in the Fear Not Program, Sims will receive a new trait:

This will give them access to the Patient Portal:

Sims can Delete their Patient Account at any time by going to their Patient Portal via PC or Phone, this will remove their patient trait:

Patients can confess to being in therapy to other sims:

Sometimes it ends really well with both earning moodlets and possibly a close sentiment (20 percent chance):

And Sometimes...not so great (earning a negative moodlet and maybe a negative sentiment:

There's a small chance that after confessing your sims may enter a Safe Space relationship type! These Sims can share how therapy is currently going and can encourage each other.

I've also included some new interactions for Sims who aren't Patients:

Most of these interactions will come with moodlets and/or notifications!
