DESCRIPTION

Howdy Patrons,We're very excited about todays Delta beta release as it's something we've been thinking about for awhile! For so long, we've been wondering Delta 2.0 would look like, so when Apple introduced Liquid Glass at WWDC this year, the answer became clear 🔎 Since Apple has been redesigning everything about iOS, we thought this was the perfect time for us to do the same with Delta! For this first beta, we're introducing Delta's all-new home screen 🏡 complete with transparent buttons that you can look right through to the box art underneath. This is just the start, as we're planning to revamp the entire UI over the next few betas to prepare the final release of 2.0, and we’re so thrilled about this new direction!Delta 2.0 also marks the completion of our journey with the Sega Genesis. Our friend Caroline Moore created a set of gorgeous new skins 🌈 that capture the look and feel of the original controllers, designed to work seamlessly in both portrait and landscape on iPhone and iPad. Paired with a strong library of games, the Genesis has quickly become one of our favorite systems to play in Delta, and we think you’ll feel the same.In our last update we talked about RetroAchievements, and we’re happy to share that they’re now fully integrated into Delta 2.0! We’ve expanded support to all our portable systems — GBC, GBA, and DS — and our future betas will include leaderboards and a fully-featured, Liquid Glass-inspired UI for all systems. RetroAchievements adds a welcome layer of challenge and replay value, and when 2.0 is publicly released every supported system will be ready to go 🏆We’re really excited for the future of Delta and the direction we’re headed. 2.0 is a major milestone, but there’s much more on the horizon. We have additional betas planned in the coming months, and we can’t wait to keep sharing new features and improvements with you — so stay tuned!Riley + Shane
