Happy New Year, Patrons! 🎉
We’d like to start by welcoming all our new patrons who joined us to celebrate our recent launch in Japan! 🇯🇵 We’re thrilled to have you here, and hope you’ve been exploring all our bonus patron features.
And speaking of those bonus patron features — we’re kicking off 2026 with a brand-new AltStore PAL beta! Just like our previous beta, patrons can download this version directly through AltStore PAL itself. This update advances our Fediverse integration even further, bringing even more social features across the platform. You can now view likes on apps, app updates, and news alerts from across the fediverse — and even log in with Mastodon or Bluesky to "like" them yourself right from AltStore 💜 We also planned to offer support for Threads as well, but their API currently doesn’t allow AltStore integration. We’re hoping that changes soon, so stay tuned!
We’re also rolling out a brand-new way to explore recommended sources — source collections! We’ve been hearing requests for better ways to discover all the innovative apps on AltStore, and we want the discovery process to be as easy and rewarding as possible. Alongside our existing list of recommended sources (now titled Featured), you’ll find "source collections" — curated lists of sources ranging from our most popular ones to a hand-picked selection of indie gems that grabbed our attention 👀 We hope this makes it even easier to find apps you didn’t even know you needed.

Install Instructions
If you're already using the AltStore PAL beta, it will appear as a regular update in the My Apps tab.
If you have never previously installed an AltStore PAL beta, it will appear as its own app in the Browse tab just like the beta versions of Delta and Clip. However, unlike other betas it will be installed as an update to AltStore instead of as a separate app. When you go to install the app, you will see an alert asking if you want to switch to the beta version of AltStore PAL — just tap “Update” and you’re good to go!
