No real or fictional person was harmed in the making of this workWhen Lelouch entered his room after a long day at the academy, he was met with a scene that made him rub his temples in deep frustration. C.C. had fallen fast asleep on the floor, hugging her Cheese-kun plushie. But that wasn't the problem. The problem was that her incredibly long, beautiful light green hair was spread directly over an open box of extra-large four-cheese pizza.
The melted cheese had cooled over hours, solidifying like reinforced concrete and trapping her green mane in a greasy mass of pepperoni and tomato.
"C.C.!" Lelouch exclaimed, waking her up. "Look at your hair! You've completely ruined it!"
C.C. opened one eye, yawned lazily, and tugged at a strand. The entire pizza box lifted off the floor along with her head. "Oh," she said in her usual apathetic and deadpan tone. "I guess I'll have to eat the cheese directly off my hair."
"Absolutely not!" Lelouch sighed, going to fetch some scissors and a towel. "This won't even come out with boiling water. We have to cut it." C.C. crossed her arms, refusing flat-out. "I like my long hair. Leave it alone." Lelouch knew her weak spot. He sighed dramatically. "If you let me fix this disaster right now, I'll order you three extra-large pizzas with cheese-stuffed crusts."
C.C.'s golden eyes lit up instantly. "Deal. Start cutting."
C.C. sat on a chair with her back to him. Lelouch grabbed the scissors and, with a quick and decisive snip, separated the block of dough and hardened cheese. C.C.'s incredibly long hair fell to the floor along with the cardboard box, leaving her with an uneven mane that reached just shoulder length.
"It's still a disaster, and the ends are full of oil," Lelouch muttered, frowning. "I'm going to have to take it up higher to clean it up."
Lelouch continued cutting, evening out the ends to jaw-level, creating an elegant bob cut. However, as he moved the freshly cut hair, he noticed something terrible: there was a dried tomato sauce stain stuck to the roots, right at the nape of her neck.
"Unbelievable. You have tomato sauce all the way down to your nape," Lelouch complained, putting the scissors down and pulling a pair of electric clippers from the drawer. "You leave me no choice."
He turned on the clippers and ran them up the back of her head. The buzzing echoed in the room as Lelouch shaved C.C.'s nape, removing the stained hair and leaving her with an edgy bob with an undercut.
Lelouch took a step back to admire his work, but realized the line of the bob was crooked. "Wait, don't move. I need to even out the top line."
With the overconfidence of a brilliant strategist who had never actually been a hairdresser, Lelouch tried to cut a straight horizontal line around her head. The result was catastrophic. He gave her a thick, perfectly round bowl cut.
C.C. stood up and looked at herself in the wardrobe mirror. She remained silent for several seconds, her face holding its usual stoic expression, but her eyes gave off an icy aura. "Lelouch... I look like a giant green mushroom. I hate this. It is unacceptable." "It was a geometric miscalculation!" he defended himself, sweating a little. "I can try to..." "No," C.C. interrupted, pointing at the clippers he was still holding. "Take it all off. Shave it. If I don't have hair, there's no risk of it getting stained with cheese again in the future. It's the most logical solution."
Lelouch didn't dare argue. He sighed, turned on the clippers without the guard, and pressed them directly against C.C.'s forehead.
Little by little, the awful bowl cut fell to the floor. Lelouch shaved every inch of her head, removing all traces of green hair until she was left completely bald and shiny.
C.C. ran a hand over her bare, smooth scalp. She felt the cool breeze of the room. Far from being sad, a faint, rare smile appeared on her lips. "Perfect. Very aerodynamic," she declared, turning back to Lelouch. "Now, the brilliant strategist owes me three pizzas."
Half an hour later, C.C. was sitting happily on the couch, completely bald, eating her first slice of extra-cheese pizza, delighted to find that there was no longer a single strand of hair getting between her and her dinner.
