DESCRIPTION

After listening to Bast's explanation, Susan couldn't help laughing. She never would have guessed that the well-behaved Leo was actually like this.

He was even worse than a certain someone. Susan shot Daniel a meaningful glance, making him blush a little.

"That stupid lion has gone way too far! He should be neutered. I've seen lots of TV shows lately saying that pet dogs should all be neutered so they won't go around causing trouble."

Bast seized every opportunity to set Leo up, speaking with a completely serious expression. Though anyone could hear the gloating in her voice.

"That really isn't good," Susan agreed with a nod before looking at Daniel. "Whether it's people or animals, they should be faithful."

Daniel immediately replied, "Sweetheart, you're the only one I love!"

"Oh, really?" Susan asked skeptically. "Then why did I find several issues of Playboy while cleaning the house today? Were those sexy cover girls nice to look at?"

"Those all belong to T'Challa!" Daniel immediately shifted the blame. Since T'Challa wasn't here, he could say whatever he wanted. "You know what he's like!"

Far away in Wakanda, T'Challa suddenly sneezed, feeling as though someone was talking behind his back.

"If they're T'Challa's, then I guess I'll just throw them away."

There was amusement in Susan's voice.

"Throw them away! Throw them all away! I never look at those things. Baby, you know I only love you."

Daniel leaned over, and the two of them kissed. Watching from the side, Bast looked utterly confused.

"Weren't we discussing whether Leo should be neutered? How did the two of you end up kissing?"

Having spent most of her existence asleep, Bast was still far too innocent.

...

The next day, Carol suddenly dropped by Daniel's house.

"What brings you here today?" Daniel asked without even turning around.

She spent every day wandering who knew where and was always impossible to pin down.

Carol poured herself a glass of water and finished it in one gulp.

"Where's Leo?"

Instead of answering Daniel's question, she asked about Leo.

"No idea where he ran off to. I wasn't paying attention," Daniel answered casually.

The moment Leo was mentioned, the lion came running into the house, and he immediately threw himself into Carol's arms.

"You're finally here!"

Leo looked utterly wronged.

Life at Daniel's house had been miserable.

Susan treated him very well. But unfortunately, even Susan couldn't stop Bast from beating him up.

Bast was just too evil. She'd even suggested having him neutered!

If that happened, lionesses all over the world would lose the perfect lover!

Ever since leaving Wakanda, Leo's horizons had broadened. In his mind, every lioness on Earth now belonged to his future harem, all waiting for him to shower them with affection.

"What happened?"

Carol tossed Leo back onto the floor and asked, as he was simply too heavy.

Besides, seeing a lion who'd lived for thousands of years acting pitiful in front of her was more than Carol could handle.

"Bast beats me every single day!"

Leo complained miserably, squeezing his eyes shut in an attempt to force out some tears, but nothing came out.

"She even suggested I get neutered! That's way too much!

She's beating up a lion!"

"I actually think Bast had a pretty good idea," Carol said calmly.

"You are a lustful lion who really does need the surgery."

Leo's whole body trembled. He immediately turned and ran.

"Get back here."

Carol's voice left no room for argument. Leo instantly turned around and obediently walked back.

"Bast's been beating you?" Carol asked.

"That's right!"

Leo nodded repeatedly.

"Every morning when she wakes up, she beats me once, and every night before going to sleep, she beats me again!"

He hurriedly tattled.

"That is a little excessive."

Carol nodded.

"I'll help you get revenge."

Carol had always been protective of those on her side.

Led by Leo, she headed outside to look for Bast. At that moment, Bast was lounging on the lawn, sunbathing. She even had a pair of sunglasses on, though no one knew where she'd gotten them.

Sensing the sunlight being blocked, Bast lowered her sunglasses and immediately saw Leo grinning maliciously with Carol standing behind him.

"Meow!"

She leaped to her feet at once. Her plump body vanished in an instant. Knowing she'd been exposed, she hid inside her Divine Kingdom.

"Come out!"

Leo shouted triumphantly.

At last, he could take revenge. He'd endured this for an entire week!

He yelled for quite a while, but Bast refused to respond.

She had already prepared for a long siege, secretly storing plenty of snacks inside her Divine Kingdom.

As long as Carol didn't leave, she wasn't coming out.

After waiting for a long time without any response, Carol shook her head.

"If she won't come out, there's nothing I can do."

Feeling utterly dejected, Leo followed Carol back into the living room.

"So, did you get your revenge?"

Daniel asked with a grin.

"No!"

Leo looked thoroughly depressed.

"That stupid panther hid inside her Divine Kingdom and refuses to come out!"

"Hahaha..."

Daniel laughed happily.

Watching Leo and Bast constantly trying to outsmart each other was surprisingly entertaining.

Leo silently left the house. He was going to find some emotional comfort.

The zoos were out of the question now, and since it was still daytime, he decided to go find some dogs.

After all, he was a dog now.

'Tonight, I'm going to the panther enclosure!'

Leo thought viciously.

...

After Leo left, Carol sat down across from Daniel.

"When are we leaving?"

Ever since traveling around the universe, Carol had become unable to stay on Earth for long.

She'd already endured nearly a month before finally losing her patience and coming to ask Daniel.

"So, you can't sit still anymore?"

Daniel knew his sister too well. Carol simply wasn't someone who could stay idle, and she'd been restless ever since she was little.

Earth might seem enormous to ordinary people, but to Daniel and Carol, it was tiny. If they wanted to, both of them could reach the speed of light and arrive anywhere on Earth in an instant.

"No," Carol denied.

"Talos told me his people are still living in misery, struggling just to survive every day, so he asked me to help them, and you know I already promised him."

"Heh."

Daniel didn't believe Carol for a second. It was just that she couldn't stay put. Though Talos had probably said something along those lines as well.

Daniel thought for a moment, then answered, "The day after tomorrow. We'll leave then."

He wanted to travel around the universe too, and while he was at it, he intended to fulfill the promise he'd made.

'Destroy the Supreme Intelligence.'

Staying home every day with nothing to do was getting boring. Besides, Susan wasn't willing to let him touch her every day anymore. So, it was about time he found something else to occupy himself.

'Seeing more of the universe wouldn't be bad either,' Daniel thought.

Satisfied with his answer, Carol smiled.

"I'll come pick you up in two days."

With those words, she shot into the sky and flew away.

...

That night, Daniel held Susan in his arms.

"Baby, I'm leaving after two days."

Susan froze for a moment.

"For space?"

Daniel nodded.

She looked at him for a long moment before smiling.

"It'll be good for you to get out and see more of the universe. That way you won't spend every day at home with your head full of..."

"I wish you'd come with me."

Daniel tried asking once again.

"I think I'll pass."

Neither of them spoke for a long time. This would be the first time they'd been separated since becoming a couple, and neither of them wanted to part.

After what felt like forever, Susan finally spoke.

"I'm going to miss you."

"Me too."

A little while later, Susan smiled mischievously and said, "It's time for you to fulfill your boyfriend duties."

She rolled over and pinned Daniel beneath her.

...

The night was beautiful.
