another recent (!!) commission, this one for RavenEleven of their OC Lily! Lily is a dragon pooltoy who used to be a human and, coincidentally, can also throw a dump truck -- so she's exactly my kind of character to render, ahaaa. i obsessed over the thumbnails for this for An Amount of Hours and then the final version for Another Amount of Hours:
while finishing it up, Sylvie and i were in a call and she suggested i motion blur the background; this was an insanely good suggestion and turned out radical. however, it makes me a little motion sick (as does real life if we're honest), so i uploaded the one with Slightly Less Blur.
i also tried a plein air paint-brush i downloaded from the asset shop for the colors. i later blurred and used other tools to knit stuff together, but you can find it at: https://assets.clip-studio.com/en-us/detail?id=2090086
description; Lily [she/her], a blue inflatable dragon, flies above several buildings with a look of determination. She carries two massive concrete blocks attached to chains, one of which is hurdling through the air towards an unfortunate target who might have pissed Lily off more than a little. The background, thrown concrete and Lily all have slight motion blurs applied to them to give the impression of motion. The setting is a set of back-alleys in midday on the outskirts of a city.
