in Night Shift there is actually a Sonic in play and you just need to know it's a cosmic horror having a laugh (and likely being stuck in some sort of really fucked up pact thanks to Elis, who knows, mystery~.)
while often Aurelius (Sonic) is very, very good at acting the part -- sometimes he drops the pretense if the situation is severe enough and reminds people he is, actually, a voracious monster that can digest all forms of matter -- including spiritual. Aurelius usually sticks around Reigen and plays nice, though
