Hello my pets, I hope you are well.
As you may have noticed, I haven't been as active as I used to be recently. In this update I'll try to explain why.
I'm moving my content creation work from full time to part time, meaning I'm going down to 1-2 files a month.
There's multiple reasons for this.
Burnout has certainly been a thing recently and I've noticed that taking breaks can help a lot. Fear is another factor. Things haven't been the same for me after losing my youtube channel. The thought that one day I might lose my patreon page just as easily due to a change of policy that says "your content isn't welcome here anymore" terrifies me. I want to feel safe when it comes to my source of income and I fear that relying only on this is too risky and too vulnerable to the whims of these big platforms for my comfort. Other passions are another reason. I love hypnosis and that will never change (you just can't change kinks) but that's not the only thing I love. I want to pursue other interests in my life and not rely on a single one.
That said, I'm not going away, just going part time.
If you are the average follower that only checks in once every few months, not much is changing for you. More seasoned fans, however, will definitely miss the constant uploads and for that I'm very sorry. I hope you can still find the enjoyment you are looking for in some of my older uploads or by checking in less frequently. Right now, this is all I can offer.
I also thought about lowering prices to adjust for this change but there's no easy way to do that. Patreon won't let me change the price of a tier if there's people in it and if I create a new one it won't have access to the recordings. There's no way to enable a tier to access the posts in a few clicks, I would have to do it manually for each file I've ever uploaded :(
I'm hoping that this change, alongside the recent ones I've made, will help avoid future burnouts and allow me to keep posting in the long term (I'm talking years) while also following my other interests and living the life I would like to live (assuming I don't get deleted randomly of course).
