Hey guys, how's it going? I'm bringing you one of the last updates before the release of version 0.4.5. 🎉
I believe that this week I'll be able to finish all the remaining artwork, and next week I'll start making the necessary changes to the game's code, menus, and a bit of the gameplay.
I remember mentioning that I was going to add new menu options, make the game a bit lighter, and improve the animation options. But besides that, I also plan to add a “tutorial” and maybe introduce new mechanics for the phone, photo viewing, and possibly completely new artwork for the older chapters. I might not be able to add all my ideas at once, so there’s a chance of smaller updates over time to include more content.
And even though the remake of these chapters took way longer than I expected, believe it or not, it was a huge learning experience. I learned several new methods to improve the art (and produce them faster), got amazing ideas for the future, and grew a lot as a developer. ⭐
Once the remake is done (along with the changes to the community, etc.), I'll channel all my energy into producing Chapter 05 and do everything I can to make it the best chapter ever. My ambitions are high, but I truly believe I’ll be able to achieve everything I’m planning. The big question is just how much time I’ll need to make it all happen.
But that’s a topic for another post. For now, just know that the remake will be released soon (definitely in October), and I strongly recommend playing the new update. Even though most of the dialogues remain the same, the experience you’ll have seeing the updated artwork will be extremely positive, I can say that with certainty.
