I’m excited to bring you the first official teaser for Chapter 05, and this time it’s a little different: more detailed and with more content! ✨
Lately I’ve been testing new techniques for image creation, and I managed to get really good results in my opinion. With these new techniques, the scenes become much more cinematic without changing the style, since it’s mostly post-editing. Although I still need to be careful not to over-edit so I don’t lose that classic "My True Desire cartoon vibe", haha!
Another thing I’m proud of is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, which is new expression variations for Ana.
With these new expressions, I can make scenes even more emotional, impactful, and immersive for the player. It also opens the door for new types of dialogue that previously felt a bit off, and lets me portray Ana’s reactions with much more clarity and personality.
The expressions above are just a few examples. Many others have been added.
Other than the new expressions, I’m considering the idea of implementing different poses with the same outfit, making the dialogues even more interesting and dynamic/with movement.
The only downside of these variations is that I’m having some difficulty making the movement transitions look natural, without feeling too edited. Since AI images don’t come layered, it takes careful and detailed work. In the future I’ll make a poll so you can help decide whether I should invest more in this feature. 👀
