Hey everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. ✨I’m bringing you another update on the progress of Chapter 05.
These first weeks of the year have been very productive, and I have to admit I’m quite happy with how the chapter is shaping up, even though there’s still a lot left to do.
The images in this chapter are significantly more difficult to create, and they’re taking a lot more time. Many of them involve multiple characters, small and complex environments, or settings where the AI has little (or no) proper training. All of this makes coherence and consistency much harder to achieve.
Because of that, I’ve had to edit, draw, and use other techniques much more frequently, which ends up heavily impacting the time spent on each image.
That said, the results are absolutely worth it. Anyone who saw the teasers I posted this week knows exactly what I mean. 🔥
Regarding the release window, it’s still hard to predict an exact date. In the roadmap post, I mentioned that I’d be giving it my all this month to try to finish the chapter in January, but being completely realistic, that’s no longer possible.
One of the strategies I’m using this year to improve productivity is writing down exactly what I need to do each day and setting very specific goals. It’s an excellent method, but it also reveals a harsh reality sometimes.
For example, today I technically still need to finish two more images. The problem is that the two images I completed today took around five hours, and I’ll stop working in about three hours…
And I still had this post to write, which was actually supposed to go up yesterday. Haha! 😅
Anyway, sorry for the little vent. But you know I like to be honest with you. The message I want to convey is simple: I’m rowing hard, and the journey is long. But we will get there.
