Chapter 31 – Launch Emerges, Tournament Approaches
In a martial arts dojo within Central City, Krillin watched his opponent carefully. The man was much older than him, and had trained in the martial arts for longer…but Krillin was confident. This man had trained longer, but had done so in a much less rigorous and demanding way than how the Turtle School taught.
“Hyah!” The man charged in, a side kick aiming for Krillin’s chest.
Krillin pivoted to one side to get out of the line of the kick, grabbed the outstretched limb to jerk the other martial artist forward, and buried his elbow into the man’s gut. The other students, and even the dojo master, watching the spar all blinked as they’d only seen Krillin’s movements as a short blur. Their eyes all widened while they gaped in shock as the larger man collapsed to his knees, folded over himself while holding his gut and hacking out short breaths.
“Match!” The dojo master called out to end the spar.
“Thank you for the spar.” Krillin bowed politely to the older man.
The guy, after a few seconds to breathe, managed to stand up and return the bow…even though he winced at the pain in his stomach. “Th-Thank you for the spar…” He said before walking over to the side, holding his bruising abs, and sat down to rest.
The dojo master approached Krillin with curiosity in his eyes. “You’re an astounding talent, young man. You defeated the top student at my dojo in one blow, and I was considering sending him to the next Tenka’ichi Budokai. I’m afraid we have no one else that could challenge you.”
Krillin nodded and gave the dojo master a polite bow. “Thank you for allowing me to spar today, dojo master. I appreciated the chance to test myself.”
“Hohoho…such a polite young man.” The older man chuckled. “If I may ask, where did you learn your martial arts from? To be so skilled at your age shows that you’re a hard worker with a great master guiding you.”
“I am a disciple of the Turtle School, sir.” Krillin answered honestly as he pointed to the circular patch on his orange gi over his left breast.
The dojo master nearly choked on his own breath. “Th-The Turtle School…!” He surprised Krillin as he gave the young man a polite bow. “It was an honor to host you for the short time that my school was able.”
Krillin accepted the bow and looked at the clock hung up on the wall of the school. “It’s been fun, dojo master. I should be on my way.”
“You’re leaving Central City today, yes?” The older man recalled Krillin briefly mentioning that before the sparring started.
“Yes, sir. It’s time to continue my martial arts journey.” Krillin confirmed with a short nod. “I’m heading towards West City next and then south towards South City after that.”
The dojo master hummed thoughtfully as he nodded. “A long path ahead of you, but a strong young man has little to fear, but much to learn.”
The two parted ways after that as Krillin left the dojo and started following the crowds on the wide sidewalks. It was closing in on lunchtime and Krillin wanted to eat well before heading out on the road again. It was quite easy to find a street lined with various restaurants and food carts, as a majority of the crowd was heading to get lunch themselves.
“Hmm, what sounds good today?” Krillin did enjoy one aspect of the megalopolises that he visited very much…and that was the selection of foods that were on offer and easy to come by. Traveling on the road meant you ate whatever the local village or town had available or whatever you could hunt and forage for yourself in the wilds. “Steak does sound good.” He smiled as he saw a sign out front of one restaurant that advertised their ‘72oz Steak Challenge – Finish in 60 minutes and it’s free!’ with the hefty retail price of the meal in small print below it. While Krillin couldn’t hold a candle to Goku and the girls when it came to eating, he could EASILY down a steak that size. His stomach rumbling sealed his decision. “Steak it is!”
-West City-
Goku had briefly stopped by Capsule Corp to see Bulma’s family since he was in the city anyway. Bulma had made sure that Goku memorized her address so that he could get there by just asking directions. After a short visit, and being spoiled with a large ‘snack’ by Panchy, Goku had told them of when he and Bulma had met in Central City and spent a few days together. That had brightened up Dr. Brief and Panchy’s faces to hear that Bulma was still doing well on her travels. Sure, she called every few days, but Goku was honest to nearly a fault, and hearing about how they’d spent their time going on dates and the like made both parents smile and laugh warmly.
“South, south…” Goku followed the road signs that all said south until he found a large one that mentioned South City specifically. “Hmm…if I go that way, I’ll get close to the Training Island.” He said to himself as he pictured the world map in his head. He’d looked at it fairly often on his martial arts journey, but didn’t particularly set any destination most days, just wandering wherever his feet took him. “Welp, it’s as good a path as any!” He grinned and as soon as he got to the outskirts of the megalopolis he took off running, kicking up some dust behind him as he outran cars and motorcycles on the road for a time before he kept going straight as the road curved to the left.
Dashing through the grassland sound of West City, Goku was quick to cross the short plains and get into the woodlands beyond. As he blitzed between the trees, he noticed as they got denser and became a forest, with a grin he kicked off the ground and swung through the trees, much like he did growing up on Mt. Paozu. He crossed through the forested land and was back into a short woodland before entering the rougher brushlands that surrounded the mountain range of the southern part of the continent. Thankfully, this wasn’t a desert or wasteland, just brush and grass with enough water to maintain greenery and animals.
It was hours later, as the sun was beginning to set, that Goku found himself some dinner.
“Eeeuuaahh!” A large deer let loose a nearly shrieking bellow as it alerted a few other deer nearby to the sudden arrival of Goku.
“Gotcha!” Goku shot forward in a blur and slammed his fist into the deer’s head with a loud cracking sound. The deer was instantly killed before it could even realize what had happened, collapsing to the ground in front of Goku as the rest of the deer dashed away through the brush and rocky terrain. “You’re gonna taste great once I cook you up!” He smiled at the deer he’d hunted, picking it up and throwing it over his shoulder as a nice breeze blew through the area. “Hm?”
A smell had caught Goku’s nose on the wind and it was mixed with another, weaker smell that was familiar. With a grin, Goku took off, following the smell on the air through the brushland, easily vaulting over any of the rocky terrain that blocked his path. He stood atop one such large rocky ridge and looked down to see a Capsule House set up and what was clearly boar being cooked over a good-sized fire. With a grin, Goku leapt from the top of the ridge and into the ‘camp’, landing between the front door of the Capsule House and the cooking boar.
“ANYBODY HOME?!” He yelled out with a big smile.
The door to the Capsule House nearly burst open a second later.
“Who’s yelling…?” Caulifla trailed off as she saw Goku, a large deer slung over his shoulder, standing in her campsite. “Goku!”
“Hi Caulif…” Goku wasn’t able to finish as he had to drop his deer and catch Caulifla as she nearly flew at him. “Hahaha!” He laughed brightly as he and Caulifla hugged tightly, their tails entwining without conscious thought. “I missed you too.”
Caulifla silenced Goku by capturing his lips in a kiss, pressing her body flush against him. The two briefly forgot about everything else as they deepened the kiss, their tongues playing for a long moment. “Hah…” Caulifla breathed deeply once they pulled back form their lip lock. “I missed you too, Goku.” She said with a grin, her hands roaming over his shoulders and chest. “You got taller.” She noticed, lightly squeezing his shoulders and then his arms. “Stronger too…”
Goku smiled brightly at Caulifla. “Yep!” He looked her over again with warm eyes. “You got taller too.”
It was true, as Caulifla had been just a bit shorter than Goku the last time they’d seen each other. While that was still the case, given Goku’s growth spurt now had him at roughly 179cm in height, Caulifla had gone through her own growth spurt as well right as she’d turned seventeen and she now stood at 165cm tall. Her clothing was loose enough to fit for the most part, while Goku’s orange gi was more worn and barely fit him now.
“I’m stronger too.” Caulifla smirked as she flexed her arms. She saw the way Goku’s eyes trailed over her arms and then down to her chest. With a smug smirk that made her look sexy (especially to Saiyan preferences) Caulifla cupped her tits with her hands and bounced them once in her palms. “These got bigger too~”
“Yeah…” Goku nodded, his eyes watching Caulifla’s tits for a moment longer before he looked at her eyes again. The two grinned at each other, leaning in close again…only for their stomachs to growl loudly. “Oh yeah.” Goku chuckled as he remembered his deer.
Caulifla laughed and rubbed her bare midriff. “I’m hungry too. Let’s finish cooking and eat, Goku.”
Goku agreed with a bright smile. “Sure thing, Caulifla!”
With a happy grin, Goku borrowed some large knives from the kitchen in Caulifla’s Capsule House to skin and clean his kill, while she finished cooking up her boar. By the time Goku had the deer butchered, Caulifla had all the boar meat cooked up and moved to one side as she stoked the fire a bit more for Goku to start cooking. The two chatted, catching up on what they’d been doing and where they’d been traveling on their martial arts journeys.
“So you and Kale are having a race to get back to the Training Island?” Goku looked amused at what his girlfriends were up to.
“Yeah, we split up after completing Korin’s training and headed south. I ended up going a bit around West City and ended up in a place called Parsley City a day or so ago.” Caulifla told him with a shrug. “I refilled the Capsule House’s water tank there and bought some more seasonings since I was out.” Her funds for her journey had almost entirely been earned by doing odd jobs or occasionally helping out with a local problem, the rest was earned by selling the pelts of her hunts. Food wasn’t hard to get, especially when the wilds were nearby, as hunting was easy for Saiyans.
Goku nodded at that as he was using those very seasonings while cooking up the deer. “Thanks for letting me use them. This is gonna be great!”
The two ended up splitting their boar and deer with each other, using soy sauce to dip their meat in while eating bread and rice with the meat and drinking water. It was a simple meal, but filling, even for Saiyan appetites. When there were only bones left of the two beasts, Goku mentioned they should have some vegetables or fruit and Caulifla showed off a little as she punched a nearby tree and red apples with some green near the bottom fell from the tree in a shower of fruit.
“How’s that for fruit?” Caulifla asked smugly as she caught one of the falling fruits and bit into it.
“That was neat!” Goku praised Caulifla, making her preen just slightly. He grabbed a few of the apples and chomped into them, enjoying the sweetness after the hearty meat. In a short time, most of the apples were eaten and the seed-heavy cores were tossed into the brush in every direction to try their luck at growing into trees later.
Caulifla headed for her Capsule House and stopped in the open doorway. “Come on, Goku. Let’s wash up.” She looked at him with a tempting grin as she entered the house and kicked off her shoes, she took two steps and shimmied out of her purple harem pants, letting them fall to the floor as she kept walking towards the bathroom in nothing but her tube top and panties. Her tail swayed side to side and she grinned as she could practically feel Goku’s eyes on her ass.
Goku followed after Caulifla immediately, closing the door behind him and kicking off his own shoes. He saw Caulifla toss her tube top aside, letting it land on the floor without a care. In response, Goku pulled off his gi top and tossed it aside then untied the cloth belt around his waist so that he could step out of his pants once they hit the floor. Caulifla’s panties came flying out of the bathroom and Goku caught them practically by instinct, his sharp Saiyan nose easily smelling her arousal from the thin cloth. Without a thought, Goku dropped his boxers and entered the bathroom, drinking in the sight of a naked Caulifla turning on the shower.
“See something you like, Goku?” Caulifla questioned rhetorically, a confident smirk on her face.
“Yeah.” Goku nodded with a grin. He took hold of Caulifla’s hips while she grabbed his shoulders. They were under the shower spray a second later, water cascading down their bodies as they kissed deeply and ran their hands over each other’s bodies, indulging in their instincts and desires.
Caulifla growled hotly into Goku’s ear when his hands massaged her bottom. “You really love my ass, don’t you?”
Goku nuzzled into Caulifla’s neck and nodded. “It’s nice~” He had a little growl in his voice as well.
“What about these?” Caulifla grabbed his hands and put them on her tits, moaning in approval when Goku’s cupped them and ran his thumbs over her hard nipples.
“Soft…” Goku marveled at Caulifla’s tits as he groped and massaged them, listening to her hot moans.
A heated look filled with affection and primal desire was reflected in both of their eyes as they locked their gazes. Caulifla’s hands trailed down Goku’s muscled torso before taking hold of his hard length, marveling at the size and girth as she started stroking it. Goku let out a rumble from deep within his chest that almost made Caulifla’s spiky hair stand on end as her body reacted to the sound. When Goku moved one of his hands from her tits down her flat stomach and through her short black curls, Caulifla moaned hotly as his fingers found her eager sex and began to rub and tease her.
It was a good thing that the showerhead was detachable as it made cleaning the ‘mess’ from the walls of the shower much easier.
The two did wash each other thoroughly after bringing one another to climax multiple times with their eager touches, both holding back on going all the way as their conscious minds knew it wasn’t the right time for that…yet. That didn’t stop them from continuing to explore each other with hands and mouths once they fell into Caulifla’s bed after their shower. By the time they fell asleep, they were both still naked, Goku had multiple light bite marks all over his chest and shoulders from Caulifla ‘marking her territory’, and the two were thoroughly satisfied as Caulifla slept on top of Goku’s chest, his arms wrapped around her and their tails entwined, a blanket haphazardly thrown over them as their shared body heat kept them plenty warm and comfortable.
-Kale’s Camp-
“Why do I suddenly feel like I’m missing out on something?” Kale asked herself as she settled into bed for the night. Something like an instinct was tingling in the back of her mind and making her almost pout cutely as she lay in bed in her Capsule House. With a sigh, she shook her head and turned out the lights to fall asleep quickly.
She had no idea that both Launch and Bulma had the same feeling at the exact same time that night.
-Next Morning-
Caulifla loved waking up in bed with others. Those that didn’t know her might not believe that given her tougher personality, but Caulifla did like to snuggle at night. Feeling Goku’s arms around her and their tails entwined made her smile as she slowly opened her eyes.
“Good morning.” Goku said as he felt Caulifla shift on top of him.
“Morning…” Caulifla yawned as she slowly sat up, straddling Goku in the process as the blanket fell off her. “Breakfast…” She rolled her hips, feeling Goku’s ‘morning problem’ pressed up against her sex. “…or something else first?”
Both of their stomachs rumbling made the answer obvious.
The two shared a small (by Saiyan standards) breakfast together, not even bothering to get dressed. Once their stomachs were full they pulled on clean clothes for the day and headed outside.
“I’m heading that way.” Goku pointed in the direction he’d been heading yesterday before catching Caulifla’s scent on the wind.
“That’s good. I’m heading that way.” Caulifla pointed over her shoulder with her thumb.
Goku folded up the deer pelt from his hunt last night and placed it in the medium-sized bag that he was carrying on his back. “See you at the Training Island!” He smiled warmly at Caulifla before leaning in to kiss her lips.
Caulifla hummed as she kissed Goku back, pulling away after a long moment. “I’ll be waiting for you to show up!” She challenged, already convinced that she’d get there before Goku.
“We’ll see about that!” Goku rose to the challenge immediately.
Once Caulifla capsulized her Capsule House and put it into the small case that Bulma had given her, she and Goku took off in their chosen direction at the same time to start their own race. Once she was far enough from Goku, Caulifla licked her lips, a pleasant shiver coursing through her body as she recalled the taste of his seed last night.
“I’m gonna get more next time~” Caulifla said with a sexy confident smirk that was very befitting of a Saiyan woman.
-Training Island ~ Launch’s Last Day-
Master Roshi stood across from Launch with a proud smile for his newest disciple. Lunch, Bulma, Goku, Kale, and Caulifla stood to the side, watching happily as Launch completed her training under Roshi.
“Your time under my tutelage has come to an end.” Roshi said to Launch with a smile. “Through your dedicated training these last eight months, you’ve honed your body and your mind like a steel sword. Martial arts is no more than the application of those abilities.” Getting a nod of understanding from Launch, Roshi continued. “Now, as you begin your own journey out into the world, it is time for you to come out of your shell.” He was both happy and proud to be able to continue this little tradition of the Turtle School, especially with how many disciples he’d taken in the past couple of years…something that he’d never done before even with his very long life.
Launch shrugged off her heavy turtle shell and let it fall to the ground.
Thud
The eighty kilogram shell left an indent in the ground from its weight.
“Damn… That’s a load off.” Launch marveled at the loss of weight and what it did for her body while she rolled her shoulders a bit. “I can barely feel my own weight at all.”
“That does tend to happen.” Roshi chuckled at Launch realizing the long-term benefit of having used his training method now that she’d could shed her shell. “You’re now free to travel across the world on your own journey, living and training in any way you desire. But just as I’ve told the others before you; you must NOT rely on vehicles or other forms of transportation to get around. Walk, run, swim, climb, all of this will be your training on your journey across the world.”
Launch nodded to Roshi and gave him a respectful bow. “Yes, Master!”
“One last thing,” Roshi looked at Launch for a long moment, a warm smile given to the young woman. “I am very proud of the change that I’ve seen in you these last eight months, Launch. You’ve gone from a criminal on the run from the police to an upstanding and diligent young woman. As your master, I cannot be happier in your progress than I am right now.”
“Thank you…Roshi.” Launch couldn’t help but smile at that. It was something that she never expected to hear about herself. But after these last eight months of hard training, striving to catch up to her fellow disciples, to improve herself…she understood much better what it meant to truly dedicate yourself to something. The fact that she and her sister no longer switched places for indeterminate amounts of time with every sneeze had also done wonders for having the concept of self-permanence and making goals long-term.
With the semi-ceremony complete, everyone rushed towards Launch and wrapped her in a group hug. Launch laughed brightly as her sister and her girlfriends and boyfriend nearly buried her in warmth and affection, celebrating her success with her. The congratulations and hugs continued for a bit and Master Roshi watched on with warm chuckles at the clear love between them all.
“Let’s celebrate!” Lunch declared with a bright smile. “I’ll make a feast that’ll even fill Saiyan bellies!”
“I’ll help out.” Kale offered to help with cooking, having gotten quite a bit of practice while on her martial arts journey.
Bulma smiled and wrapped an arm around Caulifla and Goku’s shoulders. “We’ll all pitch in! The food will get done faster that way and we can spend more time celebrating!”
“Yeah!” Goku and Caulifla agreed readily, both to help out and because they could eat sooner if they all worked together.
“Don’t forget the beer!” Launch said with a bright laugh as everyone headed inside Kame House to get things started.
Lunch had a cute little look, almost a pout, on her face as she looked at her sister. “Only one or two, sis! We don’t need anyone getting tipsy!”
That got laughter from everyone as Launch agreed with her sister to limit it to just two for the celebration.
-Evening ~ Capsule House-
“Ugh…” Goku shook his head, forcing his eyes not to droop as Bulma squeezed his tail. Unlike the last time they’d all gotten together for ‘tail training’ he was still on his feet and standing up straight. “It’s still not pleasant, but I can deal with it better now.”
Bulma nodded at the improvement that Goku showed. “You didn’t even slouch, that’s way better than before.” She grinned while motioning to herself and the other girls. “But you have a lot of incentive to keep your eyes open, don’t you?”
The girls were all only wearing their panties at the moment (Goku wearing only his boxers) and it was quite the feast for the eyes.
“Yep!” Goku agreed brightly, making all the girls preen a little under his eyes.
“Your turn, Bulma.” Caulifla took hold of Bulma’s tail and gave it a strong squeeze.
“Nnn…” Bulma groaned lowly, as the feeling of weakness and lethargy hit her. It was MUCH less than it used to be though after the time she’d spent training her tail on her martial arts journey. “I can still move…but I kinda feel sluggish.”
Once Caulifla had let go of Bulma’s tail, she offered her own to Kale. “Hit me!”
Kale took hold of Caulifla’s tail firmly and watched her ‘sis’ waver on her feet for a second before regaining her posture. “You barely reacted…that’s amazing, Caulifla.”
“I’ve been working on it a lot recently.” Caulifla grinned, as much as she could with her tail being squeezed, and crossed her arms to project more strength than she currently felt at the moment.
“My turn.” Kale let go of Caulifla’s tail and let Launch take hold of her tail. “Nnmm…” She let out a little grumble as her tail was squeezed, her eyes drooping as the weakness hit her, but she shook it off a second later. “It’s getting better.” She’d done her best to train her tail while traveling and to feel her improvement almost made her smile…if her tail wasn’t being squeezed right now.
Launch let go of Kale’s tail with an approving nod. “You didn’t slump over or anything, you’re doing way better now.” She praised her girlfriend with a smile.
Goku stepped up to Launch with an encouraging look. “Ready, Launch?”
“You just want an excuse to be close to my ass.” Launch teased him as she turned around and presented her tail to him.
“It’s nice.” Goku agreed with a smile as he looked at Launch’s butt in nothing but her panties. He took hold of her tail, gently at first to give her a moment, then squeezed it strongly.
Launch felt her body sag and she had to consciously force herself to remain standing straight. “Damn… I thought I’d be less affected than this.” She’d been tail training with her sister somewhat often in the last couple of months, but Lunch was a very kind girl and didn’t squeeze nearly as strong as Goku did.
Goku released her tail after a short time while giving her a warm smile. “You did great, Launch. You could still move and talk clearly, so you’re improving a lot.”
“Thanks, Goku.” Launch smiled at him and pulled him into a kiss for a long moment before pulling back. “How about we get the ‘after party’ started?” She licked her lips making it clear what she wanted.
“Let’s do that~” Bulma had a sexy grin on her lips as she pulled her panties off, leaving her naked.
Kale didn’t even hesitate as she slipped her panties down her legs and steeped out of them. “Goku… Me first. Sis got ahead of us when you two met up.” She gave a cute pout to Caulifla, having heard the story of the two meeting up from her ‘sis’, who had been bragging a bit shortly after arriving. “Besides…I beat you to the Training Island, so…”
Caulifla let out a little ‘hmph’ but acquiesced after a moment. “Fine. You did beat both me and Goku here. Take your prize.” She said the last part with a sexy smirk that made Kale’s tail flick through the air behind her.
“Mmm…” Goku eagerly accepted Kale’s kiss a second later, the two wrapping their arms around each other as their tails swiftly entwined.
“I’m next. This is supposed to be my after party.” Launch said playfully, even as she wrapped her arms around Bulma and kissed the other girl’s lips.
Bulma returned the kiss heatedly. “Fair enough…” She reached moaned as Caulifla pressed up against her back, the other girl’s hands cupping her tits and playfully massaging them.
Caulifla kissed Bulma’s shoulder and neck as she toyed with her girlfriend’s breasts. “I think these got a bit bigger~”
“They definitely did.” Launch smirked as she groped Bulma’s ass. “This certainly got more toned…”
“Mmm, yeah…touch me.” Bulma moaned out hotly, eagerly pressing her body into their hands. It was so hot being the filling of Caulifla and Launch sandwich since the two girls were handsy and just as eager for some intimate pleasure.
Kale moaned on the bed as Goku laid her on it. “Goku…” She breathed out as she ran her hands over his chest, feeling the strength of his muscles as his hands ran up her sides, feeling up her curves. “Ooh~” She moaned as Goku leaned down to capture one of her hard nipples in his mouth and begin to suck on it.
Goku hummed as he touched Kale and sucked on her tit like he knew she liked. There was a pleasurable heat in his body and his mind was seemingly in a half-fog as they indulged in each other, one of Kale’s hands running up and down his bare back while the other ran through his thick Saiyan hair. The two of them were rubbing their bodies together instinctively, both letting out heated breaths when Goku’s hard length brushed against Kale’s hot sex over and over again.
All too soon, at least in Kale and Goku’s opinion, they both trembled and shivered in climax. A thick load of Goku’s seed landed on Kale’s stomach; the hot, thick liquid on her skin made Kale moan in a deep and primal pleasure. Not even a second later and she gathered some of it on her index finger and sniffed it, a moan tearing from her lips as her instincts flared. She slipped her finger into her mouth and sucked it clean with an approving hum.
“Share.” Launch, Caulifla, and Bulma were on the bed and pushing Goku to kneel upright on the bed so they could get to Kale’s tummy.
“Oooh~” Kale moaned hotly as Caulifla, Launch, and Bulma’s tongues licked the cum from her skin while she and Goku locked eyes with each other. She was so turned on right now and ran her fingers through Caulifla’s wild lock before guiding her up so that their lips could meet.
Caulifla had always known how Kale felt about her, but hadn’t pushed the issue since she knew Kale needed time. But now was clearly the perfect time as she kissed Kale back and even delved her tongue into the other girl’s mouth to share a bit of Goku’s seed, making them both moan deeply.
Launch, having taken her share of Goku’s seed for herself already, nearly tackled him to the bed, only to instantly be flipped over on to her back and pinned. “Fuck yeah…” She moaned out sexily, her green eyes smoldering with desire as Goku showed that ferocious dominant side that she loved. “Congratulate me, Goku~” She purred to him as she wrapped her legs around his waist, pulling him closer and making their sexes rub against each other.
It was nearly a miracle that any higher thought existed in the Saiyan pile of intimacy, but the conscious decision that they’d all made to hold off a bit longer wouldn’t be violated by anyone.
“Goku…” Bulma moaned as she pressed herself against his back, kissing his shoulders and then his neck. “Me next~” She purred out, rubbing herself up and down, her soft tits molding against Goku’s defined back.
“Wait your turn…” Launch playfully growled at her girlfriend before moaning out loud as Goku’s hard, slick cock ran across her clit, sending bolts of pleasure racing up her spine to slam into her brain.
The ‘after party’ would last well into the night, ending up with Launch nearly buried in a cuddle pile of her lovers with a happy and satisfied smile on her lips.
She’d worry about which direction she’d head off in to start her martial arts journey tomorrow morning.
-Next Morning-
“You stop by when you can.” Lunch said as she hugged her sister.
“I will.” Launch hugged her back with a smile. “And you…” She looked at Roshi with fierce green eyes. “Don’t perv on my sister.”
Roshi flinched a little. “What… Why…I’d never…” He stuttered out his words.
Lunch giggled at the master’s floundering. “I’m sure Roshi knows better.”
“Wouldn’t count on it.” Caulifla snarked with a grin.
“Hey!” Roshi gave her a little glare from behind his sunglasses while pointing his wooden staff at her.
Kale squeezed Caulifla’s hand. “Be respectful to Master Roshi.”
Caulifla smiled at Kale, the subtle tension that had been between them for years now gone as they’d accepted their feelings and acted on them. “Yeah, sure…”
“Do you know where you’re headed, Launch?” Goku asked his girlfriend with a smile.
“Probably gonna head towards Korin Tower…though I might take my time a bit getting there.” Launch said with a little shrug.
Bulma hummed thoughtfully as she considered the date. “There’s just about a year left before the 22nd Tenka’ichi Budokai…so you have some time.”
Launch agreed with a nod. “No rush from me.” She was planning to travel around a bit and see the world without the interruption of sneezing and then basically blacking out for minutes, hours, days, or even weeks. “But I’m gonna get way stronger over this year!”
“Yeah!” Caulifla, Goku, Bulma, and Kale yelled out in agreement, the natural drive of a Saiyan to get stronger combined with some friendly competitiveness between them all bolstered the powerful response.
‘I’m going to have to keep up my training if I want to have any chance of challenging them come the tournament, aren’t I?’ Roshi thought to himself, even as a proud smile was on his face form seeing all of his disciples so motivated to continue improving themselves and their martial arts.
“I’ll see you all out in the world again!” Goku beamed at his girlfriends as he picked a direction and took off in a run, heading for the ocean.
“You’re not getting ahead of me!” Caulifla declared as she sprinted past Goku, heading a slightly different direction.
Kale laughed as she turned and started running towards the northeast. “I’ll see you all eventually!” She’d really come into her own since starting her martial arts journey and now that she had finally been able to make her feelings for Caulifla known (and Caulifla had lovingly accepted them) she felt like she’d dropped another heavy turtle shell off her back.
“I think I’ll go see my parents for a bit.” Bulma said with a bright laugh as she took off to the west, planning to island hop through the southern archipelago and enjoy the warm, tropical locations during the trip.
Launch gave her sister one more hug. “I’ll come visit soon enough.”
Lunch beamed at her sister. “I’ll be here!”
With final farewells said between the sisters, Launch picked due north as her direction and took off in a run, prepared to swim across the ocean to reach the mainland just like the others had all done before.
Once all the Saiyans were out of sight, Lunch stretched her arms above her head and let out a happy sigh. “It’s such a nice day. I think I’ll enjoy the ocean a bit.” She headed inside of Kame House to change.
‘Well… I suppose one day off wouldn’t hurt.’ Roshi thought to himself as he watched Lunch exit his house in a lime green bikini that showed off her lovely figure plenty. ‘Beach ogling doesn’t count as perving on anyone!’ He declared in his mind as he set up a beach chair and watched as Lunch splashed around in the ocean right off the beach.
-West City ~ Two Months Later-
Krillin was taking in the fourth megalopolis that he’d visited since starting his training journey. It wasn’t all that different from Central City, given that they were the two capitals that were closest to each other. “Bulma lives here, right?” He wondered if he could see his friend and fellow disciple if he headed for Capsule Corp. “Traveling across the city could be some good training.” He smirked as she stretched a bit, getting a few looks from the locals that were waiting at the same crosswalk.
The ‘walk’ light came on in green light and Krillin bolted forward, nearly leaving an After Image behind. He was a blur as he crossed the street and then leapt up to the second floor of the building. He was only visible for a fraction of a second as he kicked off the balcony he’d landed on and flew threw the air before landing lightly upon another balcony, the building nearly a block away from his previous location.
-Capsule Corp-
Bulma’s fists blurred as she slammed punches into a padded machine over and over again. Each padded target would swing randomly at her, mimicking an actual opponent, and she had to dodge, block, or counter each time. Each target was also hooked up to pressure sensors that were feeding data to the computer her father was monitoring.
“Doing amazing, honey.” Dr. Briefs said to Bulma with a smile, his eyes quickly returning to the rapidly incoming data. “Fascinating reaction time and force… Every hit is practically a world record in measured force from a fighter.”
“Hyah!” Bulma slammed a punch into the center pad with all her force, the machine letting out a metallic groan from the hit before shutting down as it was supposed to do when Bulma punched that particular target. “Woo… That was good workout.” She praised the improvements her father had made to the machine.
Dr. Briefs chuckled at that. “I did try to make it as strong as possible. The first model clearly wasn’t strong enough.” The machine had been twisted metal smashed into the wall after only a few punches from Bulma. “The neural synapses respond so rapidly that one would think you’ve been training for decades, honey.” He gave his scientific opinion of Bulma’s results on the machine. “The rapid building of such neural connections in Saiyans far outpaces human levels.”
The intercom crackled to life on the desk. [Dr. Briefs, a young man that claims to be a friend of Miss Bulma is at the front gate.] The robotic voice informed the father and daughter.
“Not Goku?” Dr. Briefs had already set the system to recognize Goku, so it had to be someone else.
“Is he bald?” Bulma asked as the system.
[Yes, Miss Bulma.] The system answered back.
Bulma smiled at that. “It’s Krillin. I didn’t expect a visit.” She grabbed a towel and wiped her sweat before hanging it around her neck. “I’ll go welcome him.”
Only a few moments later, Krillin was marveling at the interior of Capsule Corp. “Wow… It’s huge.”
“It has to be, this is both home and one of the main work spaces for Capsule Corp, after all.” Bulma told him with a shrug. “How’ve you been? It’s been almost two years now.”
Krillin smiled up at Bulma, noticing that he still hadn’t grown enough to match her height with only mild irritation. “I’ve been traveling across the world visiting the five capital cities. After leaving Goku’s house on Mt. Paozu, I ran along the East Sea Highway to get to East City. I kinda just wandered for a bit after that until I met a nice old monk that gave me the idea to visit the cities. Then I climbed the northern mountain range to get to North City and spent some time there.”
“You climbed the northern mountains?!” Bulma looked at Krillin like he was crazy. “How did you not freeze to death?”
“Good winter clothes from the old monk.” Krillin answered simply, a grin on his face as Bulma deadpanned at him. “I worked on ki circulation while I did it. Kept me at a mostly stable temperature…though every time I messed up each cold breeze felt like icy knives driving into my skin.” He admitted to not having been perfect in his climb over the icy mountains.
Bulma shook her head at her friend. “You really are crazy.” The two headed into the inner garden and Krillin balked at seeing the various animals (including the multiple dinosaurs) that lived within the central part of the huge Capsule Corp building. “Still, I can tell you’ve gotten stronger since we saw each other last.”
Krillin smiled and flexed one arm. “Darn right I am! I’ve even got a new trick or two up my sleeve for the tournament!”
“Oh? You think you’re the only one that’s worked on some new things?” Bulma smirked at Krillin.
“Maybe not. But I’m confident.” Krillin said with a smirk of his own.
Bulma and Krillin grinned at each other before breaking up into laughter.
“Hungry?” Bulma asked as she heard Krillin’s stomach rumble.
“I could eat.” Krillin admitted with a smile.
The two headed for the private kitchen and Panchy warmly welcomed Krillin into their home.
“Oh, what a handsome young man you are!” Panchy giggled, making Krillin blush a bit from the beautiful woman’s compliment. “I’ll have some food whipped up in no time, so you two just relax.”
“Thank you, ma’am.” Krillin thanked Panchy for her hospitality as he sat at the table with Bulma and they started chatting about what they’d both been up to on their travels.
-Sacred Land of Korin-
Launch craned her neck all the way back as she looked up at Korin Tower. “Damn… They weren’t kidding about how tall it was.”
Upa smiled up at Launch, always thrilled to meet one of Goku’s friends. “Are you going to climb the tower and receive the teachings of the divine being as well, Miss Launch?”
“That’s the plan, little guy.” Launch grinned down at the six-year-old boy.
“It is a difficult endeavor, but I have no doubt that you’ll succeed just as Goku and the others did.” Bora encouraged Launch with a smile and a nod. “Seeing all of you succeed makes me want to try ascending the tower again, myself.” He admitted to being inspired by Goku, Bulma, Caulifla, and Kale’s success.
Launch smiled up at the towering Bora. “Can you wait until I get done, big man?”
Bora chuckled at that. “Of course, Miss Launch.” He motioned to Korin Tower with a smile. “I hope your climb is beneficial and you receive great strength and wisdom.”
“Thanks.” Launch bent her knees. “I’ll see you guys once I’m done!” She leapt powerfully, rocketing high into the air until she was little more than a dot in the sky before grabbing onto the stone tower and beginning to climb.
“They’re all amazing, father.” Upa said as he squinted while leaning back to watch what little of Launch’s progress he could see. “Do you think I could climb the tower when I’m older?”
Bora gently rested his hand atop his son’s head. “I do, Upa. Once you’re old enough, I will proudly watch you ascend the tower and await your successful return.”
Upa beamed up at his father for the belief and encouragement. “I’ll do it! One day I’ll be the strongest warrior in the Karinga Tribe and protect our sanctuary just like you, father!”
-Caulifla-
A waterfall roared as it poured down a high cliff, the rocky pool below constantly pounded by the intense water.
Caulifla stood beneath the waterfall, completely soaked even as she focused. “KIAI!!!” She bellowed while throwing her hands upwards.
The powerful force blasted upward, sending the falling water scattering across the narrow valley in all directions. The force reached near the top of the waterfall before the constant weight of the water overpowered it and the waterfall resumed its natural course, pounding down on Caulifla again.
‘Not yet. I need to focus it a bit more.’ Caulifla thought to herself as she stood beneath the waterfall, the heavy water trying to smash her like it did everything else. ‘Won’t the others be surprised at the tournament.’ She smirked to herself as she extended her thumb, index, and middle finger on both hands, leaving the ring and pinky fingers clenched. A small reddish aura of ki surrounded her hands for a moment as Caulifla focused.
-Kale-
In a small town near the base of the eastern mountains, Kale laughed as she carried a towering stack of hay bales on her back. The reason for her laughter was the children surrounding her and the ones riding on top of the bales that she was carrying.
“You’re so strong, sis!” A little girl marveled at Kale as she walked beside her.
“She’s like a superhero!” One of the boys following along with the group declared brightly.
A boy sitting atop the tower of hay bales cheered brightly. “This is awesome!”
A slightly older girl pulled him down. “Sit down! If you fall off you’re definitely going to break something!”
“You’re all so cute.” Kale giggled at the kids as she carried the tower of bales, and the kids atop it, as if they were only a mild weight. Several of the girls giggled at the compliment while most of the young boys denied being ‘cute’ because it wasn’t cool.
“We can’t thank ya enough for the help, young Miss.” A man in his later thirties wearing a plaid shirt, overalls, boots, and a straw hat on his head thanked Kale again. “Didn’t expect my truck to break down right when we needed to deliver the hay bales to Ushino’s farm.” Thanks to the incredible strength that Kale easily demonstrated, not only would the hay bales get delivered on time, but his kids and the other kids around the town were having the time of their lives.
Kale would’ve waved off the man’s thanks if her hands weren’t occupied. “This is just the right thing to do, sir.” It was also a nice little break from her training as she’d been trying to work on her ki control. ‘A little break like this is just what I need to be able to fully focus tomorrow.’
One of the little boys tugged the man’s arm with a smile. “Dad, we should have Kale over for dinner!”
The farmer patted his son’s head with a laugh. “Of course! Without her we’d have been in a bit of trouble. Ushino needs this hay to feed his cows, and if we didn’t deliver we wouldn’t have gotten the beef, cheese, and milk that we always get from him.” Seeing Kale looking at him curiously, the farmer explained. “Ushino’s farm does both beef ranching and dairy farming, they make the BEST beef and dairy products in the region, and don’t let nobody tell ya different!”
“Thank you for the invite, sir.” Kale was now looking forward to this ‘best beef’ in the region for dinner.
-Goku-
In the desert of the western peninsula a cloud of dust was moving across the sands. Right in front of the cloud was a figure wearing an almost tattered orange gi with wild, black, spiky hair.
“It was around here somewhere, right?” Goku looked out over the horizon as he ran, each step light so that he didn’t sink into the sand, just as he’d learned while training. In took several more minutes before a glimmer on the horizon caught his eyes. “Is that it?” he sped up a little to check and burst into a laugh as he saw the water reflecting the sunlight with the buildings built within the large oasis lake. “There it is!” Goku burst into a full sprint, leaving behind a brief After Image where’d he’d been, as he rapidly closed the distance between him and the Palace of Fortuneteller Baba.
It was little surprise that the ghost in the conical straw hat was waiting for Goku with a smile. “You’ve returned, just as predicted.”
Goku tilted his head at the ghost. “Predicted?”
“Yes, my Lady predicted that you would return today.” The ghost said as he motioned for Goku to follow him.
Goku was led inside the palace, remembering the last time that he’d been here. “You fixed the ring.” He noted that the circular ring that he’d fought his grandpa on had been repaired perfectly.
“Indeed we did, boy.” Baba said as she floated out of the larger building on the other side of the ring atop her large crystal ball. “I’ve foreseen that you don’t have any object for me to divine for you…so, am I to believe that you’ve come here for a different reason?”
“Yep!” Goku smiled at the old crone. “I was hoping to fight your fighters, please!” he gave a polite bow to his master’s older sister.
Baba already had a good idea that this was what Goku would ask, but she still lightly slapped her forehead at the fight-happy young man. “This is a place of business, boy. It’s not a gym for you to train at.”
Goku pointed toward the front of the palace. “But I didn’t see any people waiting outside today. Doesn’t that mean you’re free?”
“That doesn’t change the fact that this isn’t a place of training.” Baba deadpanned at Goku’s bluntness.
“But you can watch the fight. You like doing that, right?” Goku remembered that much well enough.
“Oh fine.” Baba agreed after a moment. “Which fighter do you want to challenge?”
Goku smiled brightly as he hopped into the ring and started to stretch. “All of them at the same time!”
Baba gaped at what Goku had just said. “Wh-What?! Are you crazy, boy?!”
“I don’t think so?” Goku said as he continued to stretch and loosen up.
“You’ve become a bit arrogant, brat.” Bandages the Mummy said as he emerged from within the main palace. “Perhaps you need to be humbled a bit?”
Fangs the Vampire and Spike the Devil were with him and even though he couldn’t be seen, See-Through the Invisible Man was with the other three.
“Great! You’re all here!” Goku smiled at the monster men. “Four-on-one sounds like a good challenge!”
“Foolish boy!” Spike called out while pointing his clawed hand at Goku. “Just know that whatever happens, it falls on your head!”
Goku nodded without a care. “Sure thing!”
Baba watched on with interest as her four fighters step into the ring and surrounded Goku. ‘Just how far has this boy come since last I saw him?’ She wondered in the privacy of her mind. Raising her hand into the air, she brought it down in a chop. “Begin!”
Goku left an After Image behind in the center of the ring as the four monster fighters moved in. With a grin he kicked Bandages in the back, sending the mummy flying forward to crash into the ground at the same time that both Fangs and See-Through struck the After Image and dispersed it. Fangs turned into a bat to avoid Goku’s skipping side kick, only to panic as Goku easily kicked off the ground and reached him in the air.
“Gotcha!” He slapped the bat out of the air and straight into the ring floor. The bat turned back into Fangs a second later, lying sprawled out on the floor.
Spike took Goku’s airborne moment as an advantage and flew upwards with his wings before throwing a punch. Goku blocked the punch and countered, Spike barely able to block the elbow to the face, and the two fell back towards the ring when Goku grappled with the devil and refused to let go. As soon as they touched down, See-Through threw a punch at the back of Goku’s head.
“Gah!” The invisible man went flying sideways, Goku’s tail having slammed into his side as if the Saiyan could see him clearly. With a splash, See-Through fell into the water surrounding the platform that held the ring.
“You churl!” Spike growled, only to gawk in surprise when Goku, still grappling him, lifted the devil into the air and then shoulder tossed him straight into the stone floor, cracking the tiles. “Ack!”
White bandages snaked through the air to wrap around Goku. “Got you!” Bandages said as he tightened his bandages, pinning Goku’s arms to his sides and reeling the Saiyan in. “Take this!” Bandages cocked back a massive punch.
“Hup!” Goku altered his flight through the air by kicking off the ground with just his toes and drove a powerful double kick into Bandages’s chest before the mummy could swing his punch. “Legs are longer than arms!” He grinned as the mummy went flying and fell off the edge of the ring, landing on the thin square platform surrounding the circular ring.
“I hate to say it, but I think my brother actually did something right for once.” Baba muttered under her breath. “The boy’s reflexes, strength, and fighting IQ are extraordinary!”
Goku looked around at the monster fighters and saw only Spike getting up already. “Do you want to keep going?” He asked, taking up his stance.
Spike took up his own stance. “You won’t best all of us!” He was almost a blur as she lunged forward at Goku, wings spread wide and a chop aimed at his opponent’s neck.
“Great!” Goku caught the chop and in the same motion drove his knee into Spike’s stomach, folding the devil over his leg.
“GUH!!!” Spike hacked out loudly as all the air was driven from his lungs.
Baba would have quite the unexpected entertainment today as Goku spent a long while defeating her fighters over and over again until they couldn’t go on and were forced to admit defeat.
-Nine Months Later-
Launch grinned as she easily kept pace with a train while running. “Man, how easy would train robberies have been if I could do this back then?” She chuckled to herself as she followed the train south, heading towards the southern archipelago and Papaya Island.
She had taken the longest to obtain the water from Korin, so far. A total of eight full days to manage the task and best the hermit sage in anticipating the opponent and moving efficiently. But she was still proud of her achievements over the past eleven months. She’d trained hard, traveled around, helped out a few people here and there, and had even worked on ki control a bit more.
“Meeting the others occasionally was nice too.” Launch said with a fond grin as she recalled running into her fellow disciples while traveling.
She’d met Kale about four months into her training and the two spent the day together, catching up, sparring, and then fooling around a bit before sleeping in the same bed together. She’d stumbled across Caulifla while crossing through the Break Wasteland, a place that she felt was poorly named as the entire area was merely surrounded by a desert wasteland while the actual Break Wasteland area had water, greenery, and animals aplenty, including large dinosaurs. She and Caulifla had sparred and hunted together while catching up, a large dinosaur having been devoured between them over the course of the day before the two had gotten rather frisky at night and slept cuddled up together before parting ways in the morning.
As for Krillin, she’d met up with him entirely by accident as she’d been running through the southwest to travel as much as possible, finding her friend not too long after her meeting with Caulifla. They’d both been crossing the low mountain areas and had ended up in the same crossroad town. They’d shared a meal and gotten in some sparring, much to the entertainment of the various travelers in the town. The entertainment provided and even netted them some extra cash as people had tossed a few bills their way for the show. Bulma had practically found her, the blue-haired girl having surprised Launch by sitting down at the same table as her at a street restaurant in Ginger Town, north of West City. The two had spent the shared meal (paid for by Bulma) chatting and catching up a bit. The after meal sparring had lasted a while, and by the end the two had simply pulled each other’s clothes off and indulged right there in the wilderness outside the town where no one could see. They’d slept snuggled up in the bedroom of Bulma’s Capsule House that night and shared breakfast before going their separate ways again.
“Goku was certainly happy to see me.” Launch grinned as she continued to run alongside the train.
The two had found each other in a place called Nanu Town in the western peninsula. Without even waiting, Launch had kissed Goku senseless as soon as she saw him. That had immediately put her boyfriend into a good mood as they chatted and caught up. Launch had playfully given in and sparred with Goku for a while as well that day. It was after dinner that night that Launch had dragged Goku to the edge of town, tossed her Capsule House and then pulled Goku inside for some intimate alone time.
Launch shivered pleasantly at the memory. “Who’d have thought he’d get so good with his tongue…” She hummed at the pleasurable memory, vividly recalling laying on her stomach, spread out on the bed as Goku practically worshiped her body with his hands, lips, and tongue. Not that she hadn’t ‘returned the favor’, of course. “Fuck…now I’m horny.” Launch grumbled as she licked her lips, recalling Goku’s taste.
-Papaya Island ~ Day of the 22nd Tenka’ichi Budokai-
Outside the temple that held the Tenka’ichi Budokai Krillin stood with a smile. “This place brings back memories.”
“Right?” Kale said from behind him.
“Gah!” Krillin flinched away before seeing Kale and exhaling. “Must you do that?”
Kale giggled and apologized. “Sorry, sorry.” She eyed Krillin up form her new height, having gone through her final growth spurt after turning seventeen. “You grew…a bit. But you’re stronger than the last time we saw each other.”
Krillin looked at Kale flatly. “Ha…ha…” He fake laughed at her little joke.
“Yo!” Bulma called out with a wave as she walked up to the two with a smile. “Fancy seeing you two here.” She joked with them, looking rather nondescript in her shorts, t-shirt, and light jacket.
“Bulma!” Kale beamed at her girlfriend and hugged her tightly. “I missed you!”
Bulma returned the hug with a smile. “Missed you too, Kale.”
“Room for more?” Launch asked as she walked over with Lunch and Roshi. She was quickly pulled into the hug as well. “I decided to stop by the island to pick up Lunch. And make sure that Master Roshi hadn’t done anything since the last time I visited.”
Roshi grumbled about ‘no respect’ while Lunch giggled at the teasing her sister gave the old master.
“Have you all registered yet?” Roshi questioned his disciples.
“I was just about to, Master.” Krillin said, giving Roshi a polite bow of respect. “It’s great to see you again.” He’d been the only one to stay on his martial arts journey for the entire three years, only briefly meeting his fellow disciples once or twice the entire time.
Roshi nodded to Krillin. “I can tell that you’ve grown in both strength and wisdom, Krillin. I’m looking forward to this tournament.”
Krillin puffed out his chest a little at the praise from Roshi. “Thank you, Master.”
A few cries of surprise got the group’s attention, all of them looking down the street just in time to see Caulifla running towards them, her purple harem pants a bit tattered and with holes in multiple places, her magenta tube top wasn’t in much better shape, looking like it was one jarring motion away from tearing apart in two places.
Caulifla skidded to a stop, kicking up a small cloud of dust. “I’m not late to sign up, am I?!”
Everyone shook their heads at her and Caulifla let out a breath of relief. “Good, good. I was worried for a second there.” She pulled Kale into a hug and kissed her lips. “Missed you, Kale~” She said with a heated breath.
Kale blushed cutely and kissed Caulifla’s cheek. “Missed you too, Caulifla.”
“What’re we, chopped liver?” Bulma asked playfully while motioning to herself and Launch.
“Come here and find out.” Caulifla beckoned them both over, hugging both and kissing their lips as soon as they were in arm’s reach. “Better?” She asked with a smirk once she released Launch and Bulma.
“Maybe.” Launch smirked right back with a little challenge in her eyes, which Caulifla returned whole heartedly.
Roshi ushered everyone over to the registration table so that they could all sign in. The man at the table smiled at so many returning fighters that had made it to the main tournament three years ago.
“By the way, has Son Goku registered yet?” Roshi asked the man at the table.
“The runner-up from the last tournament, right?” The man asked as she flipped through the papers on the table for a few moments. “No…Son Goku has not registered yet.”
Krillin looked down the street, both ways, and crossed his arms. “He still has time.”
Kale looked a little worried though. “You don’t think he forgot the day, do you?”
“He better not have forgotten.” Roshi said with a little grumble. “Goku usually isn’t that irresponsible.”
Bulma didn’t look too worried. “He’s got time still, and he was really looking forward to this. He’ll be here.”
Caulifla crossed her arms and leaned back against the wall. “He wouldn’t miss the chance to fight strong people in the tournament.” The way her foot was occasionally tapping the ground made it clear that she wasn’t as patient as she was trying to seem.
While everyone was looking down the road leading to the temple in hopes of spotting Goku, Master Roshi quietly slipped over to the registration table. “Could you put down Jackie Chun for me?”
The man at the table blinked once,. “You mean the winner of the last tournament?” His eyes widened as Roshi took off his sunglasses. “W-Wait you’re…!”
“Shh!” Roshi held his index finger up over his lips. “This will be our little secret, okay?”
The man nodded and wrote down the name into the registered competitor’s list. “It’s great to have you back to defend your title, sir.” He smiled at Roshi as the old man put his sunglasses back on.
Roshi was back with the others before anyone had noticed him missing.
It was a while later and registration was going to close soon as the tournament would be starting at noon.
“He’s only got five minutes left!” Krillin said with exasperation, still looking for any sign of Goku.
“He’ll be here…” Caulifla said again, thought the way her foot was constantly tapping now gave away her worry.
Kale was looking around, hoping to see her boyfriend among the crowd. “You don’t think he’s on the wrong island, do you?” The southern archipelago had many islands after all…though Papaya island was one of the largest.
Launch was getting just as impatient as Caulifla, her fingers tapping on her arm. “He better not have forgotten.”
“Goku wouldn’t do that.” Lunch reassured her sister with a little smile.
“I’m sure he’s heading here right now.” Bulma said, even though there was no sign of Goku yet.
While the group waited, some of them watching the minutes count down, a group of three interrupted their vigil.
“Well, well, well! If it isn’t Kame Sen’nin!” The speaker was an elderly man with a long face with sunken cheeks, a thin, pointed nose, a wide-parted mustache that was thin and looked a bit like cat whiskers with how they hung from his upper lip, and matching medium-length blue-grey hair swept upwards to resemble a bird's wings, with a bald patch on the scalp. He wore a martial arts uniform, consisting of a green changshan (a traditional Chinese men’s coat) with yellow sleeves and red lining, as well as a black Chinese cap with a model of a crane's head on the top and black glasses over his eyes.
Beside the old man were two younger men, the one on his left was tall and had three eyes, with one on his forehead. The other was very short and appeared to have his face painted pure white with two red circles on his cheeks. Both of them wore the same martial arts uniform as the old man, hinting at a master and disciples relationship.
“Hm?” Roshi turned to the speaker, already knowing who it was. “Oh-ho! If it isn’t Tsuru Sen’nin! I see that you’re still alive, eh?”
“Heh! Still as foul-mouthed…and foul-faced…as ever, I see.” Tsuru Sen’nin shot back without raising his voice. “I heard that your disciples played quite a role in the last Tenka’ichi Budokai.” He lightly twisted the end of his thin mustache. “That just shows how low this tournament has fallen. So I thought I should remind everyone what real martial arts looks like…and enter my disciples too.” He chuckled mockingly as he looked over the seemingly ragtag bunch that Roshi had with him. “Hehehe… So sorry. Of course I’ll understand if you all run home before you suffer too much embarrassment.”
“Not happening.” Bulma, Krillin, Launch, Kale, and Caulifla said at the same time.
Roshi barked out a laugh of his own. “Hahaha! I see you still have your warped sense of humor, Tsuru!”
“Says you, baldy!” Tsuru barked at Roshi, as he leaned in and glared through his dark glasses.
“Yeah, says me, half-baldy!” Roshi snapped back, glaring at Tsuru Sen’nin through his sunglasses.
Tsuru Sen’nin scoffed and turned away from Roshi, leading his two disciples over to the registration table. “Feh! Let’s go. We have no time to waste on fools.” He chuckled mockingly once more. “This tournament will be fun.”
The tall, three-eyed man snorted at the Turtle School as he followed after Tsuru Sen’nin.
“Who was that?” Bulma asked Roshi, clearly seeing the bad blood between the two old men.
“A jerk! And a former rival of mine! Tsuru Sen’nin, the Crane Hermit!” Roshi grumbled out in annoyance at having the other old hermit master here.
Looking at the nearby clock, Kale fidgeted. “There’s only one minute left!”
Launch perked up as she saw a visible cloud of thin dust at the end of the road. “He’s here!” She smiled brightly as everyone turned their heads.
“Hi everyone!” Goku yelled out as he rapidly closed in on the front of the temple, a bright smile on his face. He came to a stop, a brief breeze kicked up from his previous speed. “Did I make it?!”
“Barely!” Caulifla yelled at him, even as Roshi pointed out that Goku had arrived to the man at the registration table, managing to get Goku signed in at the last minute.
Bulma cocked an eyebrow at Goku’s ‘outfit’. “What are you wearing, Goku?”
Goku looked over the tiger pelt that he was wearing as a tunic, tied closed with a thin rope, his bundle of possession slung over his back along with the sheathed Nyoibō. “My gi tore up…and it got too small.” He said with a shrug.
“What about your other clothes?” Lunch asked, knowing that Goku had other clothing since Bulma would’ve packed them into the Capsule House she gave to Goku.
“They ripped if I tried to train in them, so I saved them for later.” Goku answered simply, his smile unwavering.
Krillin stepped forward and looked up at Goku. “Well…I sort of expected this.” He sighed at how much taller Goku had grown. “But why were you late? You almost missed registration!”
Kale hugged Goku warmly. “He’s right. Were you far away?”
“I missed you Kale.” Goku smiled at her as he returned the hug, making Kale beam at him. “I swam here from a place called Yahhoy.”
Lunch, Roshi, Bulma, Krillin, and Launch all went wide-eyed at hearing that.
“Y-Yahhoy?!” Krillin’s jaw was almost on the floor.
“That’s like…on the other side of the planet.” Bulma managed to get out.
Roshi looked at Goku curiously. “What happened to the Flying Nimbus, Goku?”
Goku looked at Roshi blankly. “You told me not to use it while on my martial arts journey, remember?”
“Hah…” Roshi nearly slapped his hand over his face. “Goku, if there was ANY day to use the Nimbus, today was that day.”
“He’s right, I made sure that I would get here early.” Krillin said with a grin. “I was first! I’ve been here for two days already!
Caulifla lightly shoved him aside and grabbed Goku’s wrist. “Big deal! Come on, we have to get in there before the tournament starts!”
“That reminds me, now that everyone is here!” Roshi said as they entered the temple grounds. He pulled a Capsule form his pocket and clicked the bottom before tossing it off to the side.
Bomf
The Capsule exploded into the familiar smoke for a second before revealing a chest. Roshi opened it and showed everyone the multiple orange Turtle School gi inside.
“Time to look presentable!” Roshi declared with a smile.
Goku easily tossed off his tiger pelt tunic, leaving him in just boxers as he took the gi that was in his size (or close to it) from Master Roshi.
“Let’s let them all change in peace.” Krillin said as he took one of the gi and turned away from the others with Lunch and Roshi. He quickly shrugged off his clothes and put on the gi, not noticing how Lunch watched him with pink cheeks.
Roshi took the spare clothes and put them in the chest.
Bulma, Caulifla, Kale, and Launch had no problems pulling off their clothes, even though they were in a semi-public area. Caulifla was completely topless since her clothing was ragged and worn, but Bulma quickly handed her a sports bra. The four slipped into their gi without a care for who might’ve seen them in nothing but sports bras and their panties. Saiyan concepts of modesty were close to non-existent and their instincts reflected that.
“It’s great to be back in this gi!” Goku smiled brightly as he ran his hands over the new cloth.
Roshi collected all of their clothing and put it into the chest before capsulizing it again. “Alright, you all head in to the preliminaries and Lunch and I will get us some seats to watch the main tournament!”
“Ahem!” A monk of the temple coughed to get their attention. “Excuse me, sir. But might I have a word with you about both your Capsule usage and your disciples’…ahem…partial nudity within the temple grounds.” He looked at Roshi sternly.
“You all go ahead…” Roshi sweated a bit while waving his disciples and Lunch away.
Caulifla snickered a bit as Roshi followed after the monk. “That’s funny.”
Kale shook her head. “It’s not… We should’ve changed somewhere that we couldn’t be seen at all.”
“Eh, worst they’ll do is give the old perv a dressing down.” Launch shrugged as she took her sister’s hand in hers as they walked away.
“I suppose.” Lunch looked a little worried. “I’ll try to save him a seat, but he might not be able to get a front row spot if he’s held up too long.” She still remembered the last tournament…or the parts of it that she’d been ‘awake’ for. ‘But that’s not going to be a problem this time.’ She smiled at the fact that she’d be able to watch everyone compete for the full tournament this time around.
Bulma squeezed Goku’s hand with hers, a smile on her face. “Let’s get in there and do our best!”
“Yeah!” All of the Turtle School disciples cheered in unison, raising a fist into the air.
