It's been a weird month. It seems like it was just January 1st, and now it's the 31st. Basically, everything's falling apart, nothing's working, you waste a ton of time, then you compile the map and everything looks bad, the lighting is crooked, the models don't fit, etc. I quickly realized that the new GTA Online house would be quite problematic, and I wouldn't have time to create anything adequate. That's why I posted the roads I'd been promising for a while. I wanted to make some other hedge assets, but one of them turned out to be only suitable for UE, and the other was designed for rendering in 3ds Max, as it has hundreds of thousands of polygons that SE1 simply can't handle.
So, in the last few days, I ported a small asset that I don't even remember someone asking me for, but something didn't work out. It also had quite a few issues with model lighting, and a huge number of "workarounds" were added. Basically, it's just a small section of the street, more accurately a utility area or, I don't know what it's called, a backyard, I guess. In the end, it looks more like one of those L4D1 maps, I don't know, maybe someone will find it useful...
