Last week, the poll “Friday Poll – Extra Companions in Combat” was posted, and the large majority voted in favor of having the new companions remain as guest party members rather than full fighters.
I’d like to ask something related to the concern I mentioned when I first brought up this system.
At this point, our party would effectively have 7 members:
Mikaria
Majora
Edith
Griska / Grazga or Misha / Astro
And now the two guest companions: Yarel and Joan
This means that the number of sprites following Mikaria on the map can become quite large.
In important interactions and story moments, I can still make sure that all party members appear properly in small cinematics, with their own individual movements, emotion balloons, and scene presence.
However, in more casual or extra content (such as talking to random NPCs) it is possible that some characters may still speak through their dialogue box, but their actual sprite may not be visible on the map if they are excluded from the follower line.I’m attaching a screenshot so you can see how the full follower line currently looks. I’ll leave the final decision to you: whether you want everyone visible or whether Yarel and Joan should be left out of the map follower line.
