After seeing how well the previous Vortex Club event was received, I wanted to do something similar again.
I also asked about it on Discord, and many of you seemed to like the idea of having another community NPC event, this time for Cold Nook, one of the new towns coming in 0.5.0.
I think this is a good opportunity for all of you to influence the game a little more directly and feel even more like part of its world. It also helps me a lot because it avoids burnout from having to come up with too many generic or forgettable NPCs on my own. This way, we all get to contribute to the game.
Cold Nook is a farming and livestock town, so feel free to request:
Farm animals 🐄
Ranch-style NPCs 🌾
Workers, peasants, merchants, etc.
Cold Nook also has a more elite side, so you are absolutely free to request something more refined or unusual as well.
But of course, you can basically suggest whatever you want.
Just like with the Vortex Club event, your character will appear as part of the environment and help give life to the town.
Each one will receive a unique AI pixel-art style portrait based on your request.
You can comment with:
The name of your NPC
What creature / race they are
Their physical appearance
A short line of dialogue they will say to the player
