Vortex Club & Gaelin Content Finished

This week was focused almost exclusively on The Vortex Club and Gaelin the Vampire Hunter. At this point the entire Vortex Club content for this update is now finished. Gaelin’s current questline (not finished in general, will continue in next updates) is also finished.

As mentioned in a previous Friday Poll, both of these storylines will continue in future updates, but their content for 0.5.0 is now completed.

Transformation & Bad End Content

This week included a very large amount of Transformation content and NSFW scenes in general.

A huge amount of the final work for the update has gone into this area.

Crystal Reach Shops

Added all new weapons and spells into exclusive Crystal Reach shops

These items are intentionally only available in Crystal Reach in order to reinforce the feeling that it is the most advanced city.

Quest Count

0.5.0 now contains 64 new quests

I may still add one or two smaller quests during these final days, but officially, the update currently sits at 64 completed quests.

New Scenarios & Characters

Added many more scenarios related to the Vortex Club

Added several new important characters tied to that content

Portrait & Pixel Art Progress

Reworked several older portraits

Nearly all remaining handmade pixel portraits are now almost finished

A huge amount of work has continued going into improving the visual consistency of the game.

At this point, the main thing remaining is:

Final content scenes

Last polish (music, ambience, etc.)

Small corrections and consistency checks

The majority of the images themselves have already been made, but scene production still takes an enormous amount of time because I usually need to generate around 100 images for every final image used in order to maintain consistency, quality and character accuracy.

These last few days have honestly been very difficult for me. Everything ended up happening at the same time between thesis stuff at university, some pretty serious family problems, and trying to get the update ready for Friday, so these past days have been kind of insane for me.
