This Month's Monster

This month’s winner is the Kamu Orugaron from Monster Hunter Frontier! This CR 14 fanged beast, who is also the target of the hunt this month, is also a mythic monster with a number of options to control battle field positioning for itself and its enemies. Its mate nonu orugaron is still waiting to be officially created, but kamu on its own is a dangerous foe.

In the .Zip attached, you will find a PDF for the kamu orugaron with not one, but two tokens used for online play.

This custom token was created by Graner from Czepeku that I commission as part of this collaboration and my usual token border for monsters. At the end of the PDF you will find its stat block and loot table that is usable with the rule set found within Amellwind's Guide to Monster Hunting located in the description of this Patreon page.

FoundryVTT Module

The manifestation URL for this months monster is also available in the Pinned Foundry post. I haven't had time to figure out if the Patreon messages with these URLs will work for a post each month instead of doing it this way, so we continue has we have in the past. I will continue to update that post each month with the new months monster manifestation URL, but it will only have the last two URLs available.

Two Page Monster Hunt: Fangs in the Field

The poll this month gave us a CR 11-14 hunt range, which is partially what helped me determine what CR I wanted Kamu to be. In this hunt your party will head out to the ancestral steppes where a kamu orugaron has taken up residence in an abandoned barn. Its terrorizing the nearby residence, attacking other farms and they need your help. This collaboration with Eightfold includes multiple maps and all the variants their patrons would get, that you can use as part of the hunt as party tracks this monster down.

In the first .Zip attachment below, you will find the hunt with a link to the Ancestral Steppes map.

The other three .Zip files contain the maps provided by Eightfold Paper. They also provide these maps as Foundry VTT modules with a unique Dynamic Fold system to toggle on/off parts of the scene. All of their Foundry VTT maps come with ambient music, walls, variations, lights, and the Dynamic Fold.
