Frontier+ Monster: Zerureusu| Two Page Monster Hunt: The Jungle Breaks First

Hello Everyone!

This month’s winner is zerureusu from Monster Hunter Online! This CR 17 flying wyvern has the body of a rathalos and besides a trample attack, its is all that it has in common with it. The zerureusu uses a light element in the games which translates fairly easily to radiant in 5e. As the party fights it, the zerureusu grows in power and stat block wise provides new options for the GM to use. Depending on what parts they crystalize will determine what it can do in the first two rounds, before it hits its full power on round 3.

In the .Zip attached, you will find a PDF for the zerureusu and a token used for online play. Within the PDF you will find its stat block and loot table that is usable with the rule set found within Amellwind's Guide to Monster Hunting located in the description of this Patreon page.

Two Page Monster Hunt: The Jungle Breaks First

The poll this month gave us another higher level hunt, which has been nice to see. In this hunt, the party is tasked with tracking down a Disaster Wyvern that is causing issues on trade routes and getting closer to jumbo village (or some other random jungle village). The hunt contains some new challenges and because the monster they are hunting is from Frontier, they party is likely to have minimal player knowledge about it.
