DESCRIPTION

Here's the thing. Richy Evans has been doing shows for years. Each time we slate we tend to just say what show we're doing at the VERY least. If it's a first take, second take, etc. It helps later on in editing of course. For instance, this particular episode we had to cut a few times during this opening. As the editor it's helpful to know what take it is when syncing cameras. Clearly as you can see, we don't write takes or any information on the slate itself. Just a clap, and a mild vocalization of what the heck we're shooting. We've been doing this for 17 years, yet each time Roger Evans is handed the slate he says something like "take!" or "Are we rolling. Okay." then snaps the slate. I usually sync takes not based on, "This is Best of the Worst Plinketto intro, take one" but usually "Oh yeah, I farted real bad last night... okay um, uh, take!" then I know when he mentions that he farted on the other shot it's the same take. We run a real professional operation. Now this time I had JUST finished saying that Rich should work in the industry as a slate-boy. That he's real good at his job of remembering to properly slate and make sure the slate is visible in all three cameras, etc etc (sarcasm). Here's Rich in all of his glory.

Also, we shot a lengthy and mostly uncomfortable and disturbing BOTW. I can't unsee the things I've seen.
