So, I thought the massive backlash payment processors received from their actions with Steam would deter them from attempting to censor/control what content is allowed on platforms. Sadly, they are at it again. Now, with the P@ alternative SubStar, which is a site that many NSFW creators have a backup in case P@ pulls the plug on them. I know some friends of mine who lost their P@, and even I was once suspended from P@ (luckily got unsuspended). Anyway, SubStar got pressured by PP, and now they have updated their ToS with stricter rules that are on the same level as P@ (arguably worse). This means SubStar is no longer a reliable backup in case P@ decides to let me go.So, currently, I am debating how to handle both of my platforms with what content I provide that puts me at less risk of losing my source of income. Which could mean projects like Wrapturous Adventure could probably still get made, but I might not be able to provide game builds or visual content as a reward to supporters. It's still hard to say at this moment, all I can say now is spread the news about this issue, file complaints to the payment processors, call up your representatives about stopping payment processors from doing this, etc. I know many people would prefer to just be a fly on the wall, but if we don’t take action, nothing is going to improve.
