This week's song is an idea I hope to complete for this year's Love Tropics charity event. This year, we're supporting indigenous peoples in the Amazon area, specifically Ecuador. I've been researching over the last month on elements I could bring into a song and/or use as inspiration.
I spent some time before stream creating a house beat with some tribal influences and lot of atmosphere and FX generated from samples of Ecuador music, instruments, and sounds. During the session stream, I wrote a melody using the rhythm of a couple Ecuadorian birdcalls and developed it similar to past Love Tropics songs. Overall, I think the result worked really well and I'm planning on returning to finish this one.
