Hello, Milfheim residents! 👋
This is the first preview for Milfheim: The Twisted V04. Currently, rendering is underway and everything is progressing smoothly. I will be posting an official progress update very soon.
In this preview, I’d like to give you a quick glimpse into the new locations and environments that will be introduced in V04.
As you all know, the main environmental theme of the previous V03 was rain. A heavy, pouring downpour, to be precise. In many genres, rain is often used as a foreshadowing device that shifts the flow of a story. It can symbolize a darkening theme or an impending event—a sort of force majeure. I wanted to use this rain to express Mary’s conflicted mind and, at the same time, the power of a fate that cannot be stopped, regardless of people’s willpower. Because of that, looking back, the scenes between Mary and the MC in V03 felt a bit dark.
However, in V04, the story will unfold under clear skies once again. Although all the moisture hasn't completely dried up yet, I'd say it's bright and sunny enough. Haha. But that doesn't mean there won't be any secret, mature stories for the adults!! V04 features a relatively high portion of outdoor scenes. There will be public places, as well as some very private(?) locations. While the Landlady’s studio will still be there, another personal space will make an appearance.
Traveling is always a pleasure. Cruising down a wide-open, endless road makes you forget all the worries of the world. A journey under a clear sky with someone you love is nothing short of pure bliss. Especially if that journey opens a brand-new page in your relationship, it becomes a rare, once-in-a-lifetime memory, right? It will be exactly that kind of trip for Amanda and the MC.
This short trip will serve as a gateway to a completely new dynamic between the two. Breaking down the walls of a relationship that has been firmly established and hardened over a long period of time will never be easy. But well... if both of them truly desire it, it will happen.
And you remember, don't you? Every character in this story is "twisted" in one way or another. Actually, it’s not just them—perhaps all of us have that side to us. Those hidden parts of ourselves that only we know, things we could never voice to anyone else. Even as Amanda and the MC walk along the beach path, there must be a dark, unspoken side hidden deep within their minds that they cannot share with each other.
I think the world is an intriguing place precisely because we live our lives trying so hard to hide our own little secrets.Will Amanda and the MC manage to keep those intriguing secrets hidden until the very end? Or will they expose their rawest, most naked selves to one another under the bright sunshine?
