With the 4th of July coming up here in the U.S., I wanted to do an American flag themed version of the standard 12 oz cooler can holder.
This one is proudly American, but I know a big part of this community is outside the United States, and honestly, that’s one of the coolest parts of what this has turned into. I posted a Mexico-themed version yesterday, and I’d love to keep expanding that idea with more countries, flags, team colors, and international themes- especially as the World Cup gets underway :) (there is a slim chance Messi and Ronaldo could meet up in Kansas City which is only about a 3 hr drive from my house!........ :) )
This American flag version has the correct number of stars and stripes. One of the stars does get mostly hidden once the handle is installed, but it is actually there. I couldn’t quite bring myself to fake the count just because one gets covered up.
I also used this version to fulfill a request that comes up pretty often: a cooler can holder body without the spout.
So this posted version is the no-spout version. Other than removing the spout, it is the same as the standard 12 oz cooler can holder and uses the same add-on parts, including the lid, handle, and handle fasteners. You can also merge the parts together in Bambu Studio or your slicer of choice if you want to make your own versions, create a single-color version, remix the layout, or use the main body as a starting point for something different.
I’ll also be posting the standard spout version in this same American flag colorway for anyone who wants the regular cooler can holder setup for the 4th of July, Team USA, or just because you like the look. I think that post will be a good opportunity to open the door for requests for more country-themed versions. With World Cup energy building, I think flag-inspired bodies, national team colors, soccer-themed lids, and other country-specific add-ons could be a really fun direction.
