I have a new can holder form factor ready, and this first release is for the standard 12 oz can size.
I’m calling this one the Sleeker Can Holder.
This is a new body style compared to the Cooler Can Holder or other Can Holder design. It still holds the can the same way, but the outside shape is smoother, cleaner, and better suited for certain types of customization.
This started as a request for a smoother-sided version, but as I worked through the design I realized it could knock out a couple of requests at the same time.
The biggest difference is the body shape. Instead of the more cooler-style look, this version has smoother sides with intentional flat areas built into the body. It still has a rounded feel overall, but those flatter side areas make it much better for logos, stripes, and cleaner themed versions.
Because this one prints on its side, it opens up some really useful options:
You can add a flush logo on one side, and a flush or raised logo on the other side, and those details can print much faster and cleaner because of the print orientation.
It also makes vertical stripes much easier. Since the model prints on its side, you can do color changes by layer, then stand the holder upright and those layer changes become vertical lines on the finished part.
I have the model split up so you can easily change colors, but you can also customize it right in the slicer. For example, the Argentina-style version I made was done by setting the lid to black, then adding a cylinder modifier and making that cylinder area gold. So even without editing the model itself, there is a lot of room for custom color layouts, logos, team colors, country colors, business branding, and other themed versions.This does use supports on the inside.
A few compatibility notes:
This uses the same handle and same handle fasteners as the standard Cooler Can Holder.
There is no spout version of this design right now. This one is going for a different style and a cleaner look.
The lid for this design is unique because it has the matching flats built into it. A standard lid will physically fit, but it does not look perfectly matched to the Sleeker body. It will go on and off, so if you want to use one of the existing Stealth lids before I get Sleeker-specific versions made, you can. It just will not look quite as purpose-built as the new lid.
For now, this release is specifically for the standard 12 oz can holder. I do plan to add other sizes as requests come through, similar to how the regular Cooler Can Holder line has grown over time.
