Greetings and a chorus

Hello my INCREDIBLE patrons,

Attached is a chorus I came up with alongside Chris Peters just before I left for DC.

Sometimes I have to be stupid enough to believe in myself more than anybody else,

Is it a crime to want a little more out of life?

Sometimes I have to be foolish enough to want what I want and to never give it up,

Is it a crime too want a little more out of life?

I have been LOCKED in with Waitress since rehearsals started. I got sick in the second week, which made life rather exciting, but I'm back and strong. The show is going to be so beautiful, and I can't wait to see some of you there.

If I am otherwise a little quiet, it's because right now is a time of listening. I feel like my ear is to the earth right now. What does she need? What do we need? What do I want to spend my time thinking and singing about right now? It's been so nice to have my work be completely devoid of any MALINDA, and allow her just to exist and dream with no pressure for a while. My car rides home from rehearsals are filled with so much imaginings of new shows and songs.

As for social media, I will be really re-assessing my relationship to it. I want to focus more on long-form content and I'm in the process of starting up some episodes here. I will most likely pop onto Discord to discuss ideas as I go. And maybe I'll release everything here first to see what feels good.

We will host our first livestreams and such once the show is open in February. For now I hope you all are doing as well as anyone can be.
