That Day When Suzuki-kun Wasn't the Mob-B! Chapter 302: Arrogance, Infinity, and a Crushed Skull
"Katarea-chan?"
"Creuserey?"
Serafall and Sirzechs immediately recognized the two Devils stepping out of the dark teleportation circle.
Standing in the frozen conference hall of Kuoh Academy were Katarea Leviathan and Creuserey Asmodeus. They were the direct, pure-blooded descendants of the original Leviathan and Asmodeus—the ones who firmly believed they should have inherited the absolute thrones, only to be violently overthrown and exiled by Serafall and Sirzechs during the Civil War.
"Huh? The time-stopping power didn't freeze everyone?"
Katarea blinked, genuinely shocked. She was a tall, strikingly beautiful woman with rich, tan skin and long brown hair tied elegantly into a bun beneath a headset. Her voluptuous figure was proudly on display, the dark, form-fitting fabric of her outfit struggling desperately to contain the heavy, bouncing swell of her chest as she stepped forward. The sharp, intoxicating scent of dark magic and musky perfume drifted off her skin, mixing with the stale air of the frozen room. Through her stylish glasses, her purple eyes narrowed as she glared at the shimmering crimson barrier protecting Finn and the faction leaders.
"What a completely useless tool!" Creuserey spat in frustration. He gripped his staff, sneering at the fact that the little dhampir's Sacred Gear, the Forbidden Balor View, had failed to trap their primary targets.
"Katarea-chan, what in the world are you doing?!" Serafall yelled, stepping toward the edge of the barrier. "Stop this dangerous nonsense at once!"
But to Katarea, Serafall's words were nothing short of absolute blasphemy.
"Shut the hell up!" Katarea hissed, her beautiful face contorting with rage. "Who do you think you are, Serafall?! Do you honestly think you can just steal the title of Leviathan and get away with it?! You are all fakes! You are nothing but pathetic clowns playing dress-up on the Maou thrones! Peace?! What absolute bullshit! There is no need for peace between Devils, Angels, and Fallen! Everyone should be bowing down, bleeding at the feet of the true Devils!"
"She is absolutely right. We are going to forge the true world for the Devil race!" Creuserey declared, moving to stand proudly beside his lover. His chin was raised haughtily, practically dripping with the fanatical righteousness of the Old Satan Faction. "You are all just sitting here playing house! The world belongs to the true descendants of the original Maous! You will all die tonight for entertaining these horrendous, sickening thoughts of peace!"
"But... both of you are incredibly weak, you know?" Serafall pointed out bluntly, her bubbly demeanor completely gone.
"........"
Katarea and Creuserey froze. They desperately wanted to scream and refute the insult, but the bitter reality choked them. Compared to the monstrous anomalies standing before them—Serafall and Sirzechs—they were undeniably on the weaker side. They might have been terrors to the common soldier, but Sirzechs Lucifer was a walking apocalypse.
"What are you two wasting your breath for?"
A third figure materialized from the shadows, stepping up beside them. It was Shalba Beelzebub, the arrogant descendant of the original Beelzebub.
"If you have time to chat, you might as well start slaughtering everyone in this room," Shalba smirked, adjusting his coat.
"Shalba? You crawled out of your hole as well?" Sirzechs's voice dropped to a freezing temperature. He narrowed his eyes. During the Civil War, Shalba's vicious, plague-bearing demonic flies had caused catastrophic damage and gruesome casualties to Sirzechs's forces.
"You are going to die in this school, Sirzechs," Shalba declared, a supremely smug grin plastered across his face.
"And exactly where do you draw this blind confidence from?" Sirzechs asked calmly.
"You might be the strongest Devil of your pathetic generation, but can you defeat us... now that we wield the infinite power of the Ouroboros Dragon, Ophis?!"
As Shalba shouted, he ripped his collar open, revealing a dark, glowing tattoo of an infinity snake eating its own tail. At the exact same moment, Katarea and Creuserey bared their own matching marks.
BZZZZT!
The very air in the conference hall vibrated violently. The physical pressure of their Demonic Power skyrocketed in an instant, instantly shattering the glass windows. Their auras rapidly breached the Ultimate-Class level and kept climbing. The terrifying, crushing weight of infinity caused the wooden floorboards to splinter and groan under the strain.
"Ophis?! You managed to acquire the power of the Infinite Dragon?! How?!" Azazel shouted, his eyes wide in genuine disbelief.
"There are many things in the shadows you know nothing about, Azazel. But unfortunately, you won't live long enough to learn them." Shalba snorted, thinking the Fallen Angel Governor was painfully naive. Fortunately, Shalba had taken the lead, as Katarea and Creuserey had been just a second away from foolishly monologuing their entire master plan.
"Still, I must admit it's impressive that you managed to defend yourselves against the Forbidden Balor View," Shalba frowned, eyeing the crimson barrier encasing the leaders.
Even though Gasper's Sacred Gear wasn't fully awakened, its potential rivaled the Longinus class. The absolute law of time-stopping was nearly impossible to counter. Had Finn not utilized his Self-Made skill to instantly adapt and gain total immunity, the summit attendees would have already been slaughtered in frozen silence.
"What did you do to Gasper?!" Rias screamed, her aristocratic composure completely shattering. Her crimson hair flared with raw, demonic anger.
"Your little pawn is incredibly useful, Rias Gremory," Shalba chuckled, highly amused by her fury. "You should be honored that a piece of your trash peerage could contribute to our grand ambition. Don't worry, we'll use him as a battery until his soul completely burns out. If you're feeling lonely, though... you can gladly join my harem once I kill your brother."
"YOU BASTARD!"
Before anyone could stop him, Issei Hyoudou roared in blind, uncontrollable rage. He recklessly charged straight out of the safety of Finn's barrier, summoning the Boosted Gear on his left arm to punch the smug noble.
"Why is the garbage screaming?" Shalba sneered in disgust.
With a lazy flick of his wrist, Shalba unleashed a swarm of massive, glowing demonic bees.
"No, wait! Issei!" Rias screamed.
The warning was too late. Before Issei could even close the distance, a massive bee blurred past his guard and violently buried its stinger straight into his shoulder.
"G-GAAAH!"
Issei collapsed instantly. His body hit the floor, thrashing and convulsing furiously as if he were being electrocuted. Foam bubbled at the corners of his mouth. These weren't normal insects; they were heavily cultivated bioweapons, saturated with the venom of Beelzebub and forcefully enhanced by the infinite power of Ophis.
Rias fell to her knees in a complete panic, screaming for help. But the situation was rapidly deteriorating. Unless the Maous or Archangels personally stepped out of the barrier to fight, the rest of the room was hopelessly outmatched.
Shadows poured into the conference hall from every direction. The true army of the Khaos Brigade finally revealed itself.
Rogue Exorcists, stray Devils, and heavily armed members of the Hero and Magician Factions filled the room. The sheer numbers were staggering. They ignited their life forces, drawing on Ophis's infinite snakes to push their bodies to the absolute limit.
"Look at all these high-class beauties..."
"When we finish slaughtering the men, we get to keep the women, right?"
"Hehehehe... Think of the wealth! Let's not kill them quickly. Let's strip their women and take everything they own right in front of their eyes!"
"Kyahahaha! You're so twisted!"
"Just looking at them makes me hard!"
Cruel, deeply vulgar laughter echoed through the hall. The terrorist thugs stared hungrily at Akeno, Ravel, and Rias, their eyes lingering lewdly on the girls' smooth thighs and heavy curves.
Sirzechs, Michael, and Azazel stared grimly at the encroaching army. The sheer scale of the betrayal was staggering. Members of the Church, Fallen Angels, and high-ranking Devils had all abandoned their factions. They didn't want peace. They wanted utter carnage. They wanted a chaotic, lawless world where they could pillage, rape, and rule without consequence.
"Now... tremble in terror, you fake rulers. You all die by our hands tonight!" Shalba raised his hand, the dark magic swirling wildly around his fingertips, ready to plunge the room into an apocalyptic crossfire.
But then, Shalba's arrogant eyes shifted toward the back of the barrier.
"Hey. The Balam heir over there," Shalba called out, looking directly at Finn. "You're the one holding this barrier up, aren't you? If you drop it and swear loyalty to us, I'll spare your life."
Unlike Katarea and Creuserey, Shalba was observant enough to realize that Finn was the sole reason the time-stop had failed.
"You must feel incredibly vexed, surrounded by these weak, pathetic fools," Shalba continued, offering a wicked smile. "Come serve under me! I can utilize your talents far better than this fake Maou government!"
"Shut the hell up, Shalba! You don't get to claim him for yourself! He is joining our vanguard!" Katarea snapped.
"She is right," Creuserey agreed.
Both Katarea and Creuserey could feel the terrifying, dense potential radiating from Finn. It was far too wasteful to let a talent like that rot under Shalba's command.
Shalba completely ignored his bickering allies, keeping his eyes locked on Finn. "If you follow me, I'll let you live. But... as tribute, you will hand over your women to me—"
"Done?" Finn's calm, completely bored voice suddenly cut through the heavy, screaming tension of the room.
"Yup, it's done, nyaa~!"
Kuroka's playful voice echoed from the shadows of the ceiling, confirming that the entire Khaos Brigade vanguard had officially been lured into the perimeter.
Before Shalba could even register the strange exchange, Finn simply melted into the environment. Absolute invisibility. Absolute stealth.
He vanished from inside the barrier, leaving no scent, no sound, and no displacement of air.
Suddenly, Finn materialized directly in front of Shalba.
There was no grand monologue. No trading of blows.
Finn simply reached out and clamped his large hand over the top of Shalba Beelzebub's skull.
SQUELCH.
With a terrifying, casual squeeze, Finn completely crushed the devil's head like an overripe melon.
The skull exploded outward in a sickening burst of dark magic, bone, and brain matter. The heavy, metallic stench of fresh blood instantly flooded the room. Hot, wet gore splattered violently across Katarea's pristine glasses and Creuserey's pale face, leaving them completely paralyzed in shock.
[The soul of Shalba Beelzebub has been successfully absorbed.]
[Condition Confirmed. The 'Harvest Festival' evolutionary process will commence as soon as the required soul quota is reached.]
[Will the host allow the 'Manager' to assume automatic control of the physical vessel to execute the cull?]
Yup, Finn thought lazily.
Finn didn't hesitate for a microsecond. He completely relinquished control of his body, letting his absolute, hyper-logical AI-like skill take the wheel.
The lazy young devil closed his eyes. When they opened a fraction of a second later, they were entirely devoid of human emotion.
And for the Khaos Brigade, the absolute nightmare had officially begun.
