Happy new year everyone! hope you all had a lovely Christmas/holidays week! It's that time of year again where we check in and look back at the year! I looked at last year's post and we got to see the start of new comics and the hint of new projects to come....
Rogue's Recap
As the year started I wanted to get through more comics and delve into new territory. We were currently going through the story of 'Yours to Keep' a cheeky chapter that focused on Nina teasing Isaac at a party. We finished up with 18 pages and the potential for few chapters in the future! This comic was a real learning experience - I tried new colouring styles, simplified my process and experimented with paneling, dialogue and more! The Nina and Isaac comic saga continued with a short but spicy time with Nina's Throne, which I intend to wrap up soon as it's not meant to be a big project!
We also had the joy of introducing a variety of characters for Immortal Blood, a sexy, gothic fantasy comic in collaboration with Lust Incarnate Comics - this fun collaboration is ongoing and will be for the remainder of 2026.
Comics were the main focus for the year and something I will continue to learn and grow over the next few years with Nina and Isaac, Zephyr and the Immortal Blood gang and much more!
2025 was an opportunity to grow as a storyteller - through more complex backgrounds and written narratives to accompany my images - I was exploring ways to further convey the stories and tales of my OCs.
Struggles
2025 still came with it's fair share of challenges. Life threw many obstacles and I stumbled many a time. My work/life balance was lacking and my consistency in work on some months was worrying for me. I really wanted to figure out better solutions to balance my life and look after myself whilst also producing content I was happy with!
I will briefly mention that I was also having to deal with many of my own personal struggles and the combination of insomnia, anxiety, medication and more was a constant battle.
I hope that 2026 will be a more gentle adventure for me and all of us!
Scheduling
One of the biggest benefits to me as an artist and creator is scheduling and consistency. I thrive from routine and I believe my followers (you amazing people) also benefit from a consistent schedule of posts. To rely on the next comic update or Nina and Isaac spice or poll. I had subtly implemented a schedule - posts were coming out Wednesday and Saturday! This allowed me to have structure with my work weeks and also have a goal to post certain content by a certain date!
I hope this will benefit us all going forward and I would love to hear what you all think!
Tier Pricing
2025 was a financial mess for many of us! I noticed that on my patreon and the analytics informed that whilst 2024 was a step forward, 2025 was also a step back. I mention this because I like to be transparent! With this in mind I will not be changing my pricing for 2026 so far as I believe I have a balanced pricing scheme.
2026 and beyond
I have some goals that I would like to share with you all:
I want to finish my current Nina and Isaac projects - this includes Nina's Throne (complete in Q1) and the last few pages that will conclude Yours to Keep in Q2.
I would like to have a finish digital comic PDF for Yours to Keep - this will include a front cover, the entire story, bonus content and more for people to buy and own! I hope to have this for you all by Q3.
I aim to have Immortal Blood done as soon as possible most like Q2. This comic is 12 pages and will be worked on with the help of LiC to get it done and printed (yes that's right, a physical copy).
I also look to tease more of my comic ideas and projects but don't expect much until Q3/4.
