Hey Folks-

Quick update on things. The subclass poll has concluded, and I've made draft versions of the top two options from it:

  • Werestalker Ranger (v0.8). Brings a ferocious new Ranger option that transforms into were-creatures with various features for ripping and tearing. It gives Ranger that can specialize in melee, or a Ranger that can easily swap between range and melee. Little more durable, little more chomping and chewing.

  • Sanguine Scholar Wizard (v0.8). This one is a bit more complicated since it is built on Blood Magic, and mostly resolves around making Blood Magic work better for Wizards (who are squishy and don't like spending all of their hit points to cast magic). Empowers and enables blood magic, mostly.

There's also a miscellaneous bonus bit of content, coming from a bit of a scrapped other project. This should be considered more of a 0.6 than 0.8 like the above versions, but it gives a pile of new spells, a monk subclass that uses them, and a feat that uses them, I've dubbed them spiritual avatar spells, since they all resolve around conjuring an avatar to attack for you:

I'm still working on Summoner v0.6. I debated delaying this post for it, but I'm not sure how much longer it'll take, so didn't want to hold off too long.

There's a first look at the next expansion for Crafting, something folks voted on expanding a long time ago, and will probably get its first major update with KCAA and (of course) in patreon posts here leading up to that. The first thing here is called 'Standard Item Creation' and is 1/3 of the Item Creation System (Standard Item Creation, Custom Item Creation, and the Artifact System being the three parts to it). This is obviously a pretty early look that's getting a proof of concept to the idea.

Standard Item Creation produces more systematically constructed items using prefixes and suffixes to make X of Y items, for example, Flaming Sword of Fire, or Crackling Staff of Frost, with each modifier having a different effect on a small list of basic item templates and rarities. The system isn't ready for any full application yet, but you can start to see what its fiddling with here if you're curious:

We'll start April with another patreon vote, though still deciding what'll be voted on.

I've attached rudimentary PDF versions for people that struggle with GMBinder page rendering; if any of the links don't work, just download the PDF attached to this post and its the same thing, it just won't automatically update and you'll have to check the website for the 1.0 versions when they came out eventually after playtesting.

All the best,

-Kibbles
