Haven't mentioned this until now (I haven't mentioned a lot of stuff when it comes to the next update actually), but I'm reworking the enslavement system to feel like it's a core part of the game that ties organically to other mechanics and dialogue. You will no longer need to keep 10 different saves for each Domina so you can access their enslavement content lol.
Highlights:
Getting enslaved does not lock you into the Domina's realm. Dialogue is rewritten; the Domina is too intrigued with you and your progress and wants to see how far you can go. Allowing you to become more powerful by defeating other Dominas also brings prestige to them by having you as their devotee. You can continue your quest as normal and move to other realms after becoming enslaved.
Getting enslaved is now an option, you are not forced into it when reaching a Mental Break (Stress 100). The dialogue option still only becomes avalaible when you are under the effects of a Mental Break. Mental Breaks (and the health/stress system in general) are redesigned to work differently. I'll delve into this on a different post.
Being enslaved/devoted (still not sure what keyword I will use for this) to a Domina directly unlocks new dialogue in the main questline, and influences the game ending later on. It also opens up the 'Devotion' perks in the Domina's respective perk tree (perk trees are all Domina-themed now, one tree for each Domina); Devotion perks are the top perks of a perk tree, the most powerful ones, and can only be accessed if you are enslaved/devoted to the respective Domina.
Despite being able to continue your quest after enslavement, you can still only be enslaved to 1 Domina at a time. Getting enslaved to another one after you are already enslaved will scorn the previous Domina. Which brings me to...
Dominas can enter a state of Scorn. This can happen through dialogue choices or betraying your pledged devotion to them (by pledging to another Domina). Scorned Dominas will hate you, refuse to start scenes with you and will have unique dialogue depending on what Domina you 'cheated' on them with (see screenshots). Scorning Dominas influences the game ending.
There are no hard 'game over' scenarios anymore. These are fun ways to mess with the player but ultimately frustrating if you haven't saved in a while. For example, instead of Madeline trapping you in an endless maze if you piss her off, she will instead just become scorned. She will still send you there but you will be able to leave after passing through a humiliation ritual, and you'll have to live with scorning her permanently (so this is still a drawback, don't piss Dominas off).
Scorning a Domina does not re-lock your access to their Devotion perks after you've already unlocked them. Min-maxxers can devote to every Domina and then betray them to get access to all Devotion perks, becoming disgustingly powerful. This is by design and it simulates a powerhungry MC that tricks, cheats and defies literal demons and Gods to gain more power. As a pushback, the game tracks all this... there might come a time when all those demons you scorned knock on your door all together and you have an impossible fight on your hands in the future...
