[A 290th Mainline Video Special🎉🎉🎉][⚠️All Characters are 21+⚠️]Game by RedspikeDevlink: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4083770/Nakara/Video Length: [2 hours and 51 mins+]Overview:Humans and monsters once lived in peace. But under Nakara’s dark influence, the monsters, consumed by twisted desires, began abducting humans into the Labyrinth. To uncover the truth, the goddess sent a new hero, Ernest. Yet in his first encounter with Nakara, he was defeated and had his power taken away. Trapped within the endless Labyrinth, Ernest joins forces with Victor, a mage, and begins his desperate journey to escape.Review:Story:What essentially is, you've fought Nakara because you were ordained as the 69th hero in order to take her down again but Nakara took your powers and waited for you at the Chaos Realm to face her once and for all.[Spoiler Alert⚠️]You've lost to her and didn't manage to take over her.We don't know what really happens at the end. We just gotta wait for a DLC in which Redspike is currently developing. But with that being said. The story is technically complete. Yes it can be taken as bad ending for Ernest and Victor but hey not all stories can end on a happy one. I do like the story though. It's not too mouthful and you only get bits and pieces of it through the Goddess Portal. I actually wish they had more lore to explain what kind of realms are we diving into and why are we diving into them. I wanted more context towards the other realms and if they achieved that on the next update, that would be sick. 8/10🌟Gameplay:So the gameplay is a Doom-like roguelike action rpg where you collect rings to charge up your sword to sway off the monsters and defeat the final boss. It's a pretty damn addicting not gonna lie. Now it is a bit tiring when doing runs. Every run makes you at least complete 5 realms before the final realm. It's like at least 30-35 mins+ per run depending on how many rings you collect. Some of the realms are just annoying to conquer like the Dark Forest. The weeping angels enemy just sucks so bad. It gets crowded and suddenly you get bombarded with them from back to front. You'll easily lose a heart there or at least reduce getting cursed using the immunity buff you get from the Goddess Realm. Anyhow, after getting all those buffs you collect throughout the realms, you get to fight Nakara at the end. It's a long arduous fight that needs focus and sheer will power to take her down. And yeah I love that fight. What I love the most out of that fight is that running sequence where you run all the merging realms up to that portal. That part is so hype. It's incredibly heroic and pretty fun to play on. I think other than that, Nakara's overall boss fight is solid. She doesn't joke around and doesn't give you a lot of breathing room too in which I like since we were too op at that point. Yep I love the gameplay of this game. If this had like other weapons than the sword than it would've been an easy 10/10. So I'm giving this a 9/10✨ instead.Character Design, Animation and Artstyle:The combat effects, the monster girl designs and the charming and adventurous artstyle makes this game a masterpiece. The 3D environment mixed with the pixel 2D art is such a perfect combination in it's medium. It blends in so well and feels more alive. The way the water looks on the Swamp Realm, or the way the Demon Realm looks. All of it encompasses the dark vibe and the journey Ernest and Victor are going through. It's a lush world full of amazing and different looking creatures. Creatures that have their own desires and takes on the world. Honestly this game is amazing to look at no matter what angle you took it. 10/10✨💦Sound Design and Music:Lastly the sound design. I think what we've gotten from the sound design is perfect. The unsheathing of Ernest's sword sounds satisfying. The monster girl attacks and the way the footsteps sounds on each floor type. The design were executed well. The music on the other hand? Are all BANGERS. Oh my goodness. Each realm has its own soundtrack and all of it sound amazing~ No wonder why this game gets addicting, it's cuz the game had too many great songs to listen to. I love the Fox and Oni Realm especially. The cutesy sakura vibes that transitions into this dark and dreary atmospheric soundtrack makes it such a great listen. It is simply chef's kiss. 10/10✨💦Rating:Nakara is one of those games where you need to monitor it for newer updates. This is the game where if it gets ever updated, you'll be celebrating like 4th of July. Lol. I'm giving Nakara a strong 9/10✨💦
