Welcome back to another devblog post! This time, we're going to talk about the new Tonks scene and some interesting changes to how we're presenting visuals in Witch Trainer Silver.
As you may have heard from previous updates, we've been experimenting with 'comic panels' - essentially, a series of image blocks that display on top of the scene. These panels showcase various stages of a scene, such as boob expansion, cumulative magic (hehe), and other sexy shenanigans.
One of the biggest benefits of this approach is that it allows us to show off more detail and niche angles without having to invest in expensive animation work for the whole scene. It also gives us room for future expansion - we can add new panels or adjust existing ones based on your feedback, but also our internal plans!
The image you see here is just one example of what's possible with comic panels. Nix170 did a fantastic job bringing this scene to life, and LoafyLemon put it through the wringer during QA to make sure everything looked perfect.
In addition to these new visuals, we've got lots of other improvements planned for other parts of the game that are currently lacking, or have just chibi characters. With comic panels, we can provide additional depth and flavour without breaking the bank on animating every single scene from start to finish.
Moreover, they're a great way for Nix170 and LoafyLemon to experiment with different visual styles, as they don't have to worry about consistency across multiple scenes. If you have any suggestions for new comic panels that we could add across the game, let us know in the comments!
This is just a single example of a couple of scenes that will be added in an upcoming update, which we hope to release very soon as part of the Early Access phase.
Thanks for reading! See you next time.
