I thought I could finally take a break and maybe casually update Twitter for a bit........... This has happened to me several times in a row now — right after I post an update, my work gets stolen and uploaded to piracy sites almost immediately. Even when I file DMCA reports, register accounts to message the uploaders directly, or leave comments specifically calling it out, none of it makes any difference. Before it used to take maybe half a day, but this time it was even more extreme, it was stolen just 2 or 3 hours after uploading, and once there's even one source it gets reposted across other piracy sites at lightning speed.
I genuinely don't understand what they want, why they're targeting me specifically, what did I ever do to you? Just...are you want to kill me or something?I feel so powerless. This is a problem everyone faces, but other Arknights artists don't seem to get targeted like this to this extent. I'm just a niche artist who draws futa, and yet I'm being targeted like this. Before I was at least just filing Google DMCA reports, but it wasn't like every single upload was immediately stolen like it is now. Since going full-time on this, the hours I put in far exceed what I worked at an office. I'm not confident in myself, but I genuinely believe the effort I put in is something I can stand behind for the sake of everyone who supports me. If I stop, I'm betraying everyone who has put money into supporting me right now. But if I don't stop, I can only watch my efforts lose their meaning and my supporters slowly disappear. I really can't accept this…
I've thought of many solutions before, but if someone is determined to steal content it's still easy. Even if I somehow catch and block a user, it costs a little to open a few more accounts and rejoin. Sigh… I don't know what to do. I've thought about following what others do — using Patreon and Discord's linked features so people have to join Discord to view content — but that just feels like I'm inconveniencing the people who are genuinely willing to support me, and not everyone has Discord.
The reason I haven't brought this up before is because I already feel annoying for being negative all the time. And yet on top of everything AI and shadowbanning have already put me through, I have to agonize over this too. I'm sorry, I genuinely don't know what to do… When I saw the message from friend that the latest work got stolen within two or three hours, I had the immediate impulse to just post an announcement saying I'm done. I still don't know what I'm going to do, but if things change to viewing updates through Discord later on, I'm sincerely sorry in advance for the inconvenience to everyone………
