Nice poses on Fridays...

About work...

This week I added music to the game. I’m not entirely sure about all of it yet—let me explain.

I like the atmosphere of “Night Lessons” for games; plus, I feel like it’s a way to explore the world of “Night Lessons”; in short, I enjoy doing it this way.

But technically, there’s something even better about it: I can share resources across games and create a consistent atmosphere.

In Dungeons and Dames, I need two different types of music: one for the role-playing and another for normal conversations.

Mixing those types of music feels strange to me, and sometimes I have doubts about how the game would come across with that.

I hadn’t given it much thought until this week, and now I have doubts about the music.

Apart from that, I tried to focus on a big commission I had to really figure out how long I need to finish the comic pages; I’m happy with the result.

I also worked on other little things here and there, but nothing big enough to share yet.

Proof of work, a detailed from the second update of the game :

The picture...

Drew Barrymore in Bad Girls (1994). I remember seeing the trailer for this movie back in the day, but I don’t think I’ve ever actually watched it.

A long time ago, the first time I spoke with an editor about publishing comics in a Spanish magazine, I remember telling him about a story featuring a girl from the West and how he responded.

“I don’t care about the story; on the second page, the girls have to be naked—that’s all.”

Today, personally, I think that’s a mistake; if you create a character with personality and a decent story, it’s more fun and erotic to read about that person than to just look at a pretty drawing.

Aside work...

How the hell can a 5,000-year-old story be this damn good? I didn't know anything about Gilgamesh, except for a couple of little things, but the story is incredible.

Maybe it's just my own bias, maybe I'm just trying to convince myself of that, but it's like a movie about friends hunting monsters in the middle of the desert.

The notes in the book are really interesting, and I like the way some of the names sound—for example, Belet-ili, the Lady of the Gods (it reminds me of Bejelit, you know where from...).

The funniest part was when Gilgamesh decided to travel to the cedar forest to kill the monster Huwawa with his new friend Enkidu, and went to speak with the elders of the city, Uruk.

After an epic explanation of his intentions, the elders’ response is wonderful: “Gilgamesh, you know nothing…”

Despite that, they let them go there, which is where the trouble begins for the two gentlemen.

Aside from the book, I've started playing a really cozy game. It has a very relaxing vibe. It's called “Little Witch in the Woods.”

There are no enemies; you just explore a pixel-art forest in search of ingredients to brew potions and help the villagers. For some reason, a witch has disappeared, and some of the houses in the village have been destroyed by some weird vines.

Part of the game involves finding the roots of those vines to destroy them and let the people return to the village.

I like it, at least for now, and it seems like there’s nothing sad about the game—we’ll see...

The song...

Just something I like from my lists...

Waveshaper - Friends Again

I think this gentlemen deserve more likes in their songs...

Stay safe and take care!

Thanks for your support!
