Take care of your eyes at Fridays...

About work...This week I’ve been focusing on making progress with some pencil sketches for a commission and for the game.I’ve done some sketches of hentai scenes and finished the enemy sprites I need for the combat system.I think I have some pretty good references for the animations, and I hope to have some preliminary sketches to show soon.Other than that, I’ve gone over the text a bit, tweaking small details here and there and stuff like that. The game’s text needs to be as good as possible, because when I add the translation, I’ll have to change both if I’ve made a mistake, and as you know, that’s a pain.Anyway, here’s a proof of work, another image of an encounter...

The picture...The movie, Zombie 2 (1979), the woman, Olga Karlatos. The Spanish title was “Nueva York bajo el terror de los zombies”; I don’t even know if the movie is set in New York, because it’s a classic Italian exploitation film.I like these movies, even though most of them are just awful and were made solely to show boobs and to trick people into thinking it was a sequel to something it isn’t.The scene in the photo continues all the way to the end, you can imagine how, and it was a really cool scene if you’re into that kind of horror stuff.A classic, even if it’s not the best of the best.Did you know about this one?Aside work...The other day, my girlfriend gave me a book I’d been wanting for a few years. That’s something that always surprises me about her: she remembers every little thing I’ve ever said about books.I’d even forgotten about some of them until she showed up with one I really like, and I was genuinely surprised. This is Breve tratado sobre la estupidez humana by Ricardo Moreno Castillo, and it’s really funny.I don’t consider myself a smart guy, and I have to fight my own stupidity every day, so, understanding where stupidity comes from or how it works is essential for me.(Plus, I’ll probably find some gems to add to my games.)I'm still a pro at CS. The other day I found out that if you go to your Steam profile in the game and change “.com” to “.rip,” you can see your stats.I have a hit rate of 0.43, which means I only hit 4 out of every 100 shots...Anyway, it’s fun—not for the rest of the team, but it sure is for me!

Dying like a pro.Let me tell you a nice little story that happened to me this week.I have a list of songs for the games, you know?Royalty-free music and artists I plan to use in future projects. This week I tried to find a song I really like; my idea is to use it for a scene with Frank in a game, but the artist has disappeared, and with him, all his music.I tried to find a contact email to ask him for the music, but the only email I found on the Wayback Machine was one linked to his own website.I had already given up hope of finding that song...But, as we know, hope is the last thing we should lose, so I tried that email address, and the man replied by sending me both versions of the song I wanted! It seems he simply thought no one would miss some of his songs and deleted a large part of his work.

A very kind gesture, that's for sure!

But he’s still making music under the name “Keskiyön kommando.”Here is his spotify, just click in the name.Keskiyön kommando. The song...This is the instrumental song I want for the game:

Dance Instrumental

As you can hear, it's got that Night Lessons vibe!If you can give the guy some likes in his videos or follow him in spotify (idk how that place works) would be nice.Take care and stay safe, guys.Thank you for your support as usual!
