So for this progress update, I gotta say, things are going wonderfully well. Chap 3 is where I really started to be comfortable writing and was able to better articulate what I wanted to convey, so that means less worry about adding or removing things.
I've mainly been working on the v-poly route and added a few things along the way, including some needed clarifications in a few dialogues where it felt a bit unclear—nothing big, really. Just bits of dialogue that were kinda hard to understand where I was going with them, which I smoothed out a bit.
For instance, the cockroach scene now has some added flavor text in a few options for a serious MC who's scared of roaches. And before that, there's flavor text about the chosen RO and the moment they spent together the day before (except El).
There's not much additional content except the v-poly route. But with how well things are going, my hopes are high for the rewrite to be done by the end of the month, or next month maximum.
The only thing that'll be a headache is the texting scene at the end....... But I'm not there yet.
To give you an idea, I'm at the scene where MC is having lunch with Chelsea or Maxime, where they talk about Christmas and the chosen RO. Already coded around 59k words, with roughly 10k words of additional content.
That leaves me with 56k words left to 'rewrite' (adding the v-poly options/route, fixing the typos I catch, smoothing out some weird phrasing, etc.)
So, all in all, I'm pretty damn proud of myself🤧
