The weeks are flying by!
Bit of a later post from me today. This afternoon I streamed Elder Scrolls Online for about five hours. That was my first time ever trying an MMO and I really didn’t know what to expect. It ended up being really fun, and it was so wholesome seeing some people from chat come and find me and show off their emotes and items.
I can definitely see how that style of game can become all-consuming. I’m not sure how often I will go back to it now, but I think it would be fun to revisit once in a while.
Now, it’s 11:30PM and I’m about to start stream again, for a Game Awards watch along night. Typically I wouldn’t have been able to do this, since the show can sometimes go on till around 4AM in UK time, but now that Thursday and Friday are my days off, I have no excuse! Last year I slept through the surprise announcement of Witcher 4 and I’ve honestly never gotten over it. I’m sure there won’t be anything of that size announced this year (what could possibly top that in my books?!) but I wanna stay up all the same.
That means that tomorrow will be a day off stream, to give me time to catch up on sleep and video editing (yes, Halo Wars 2 is still sitting in the editing room waiting to be finished).
I’ll also be starting the edit of my Skyrim Best Bits video, which I think is going to take ages to do but will be a treat and such a lovely way to round out the year.
On Sunday we will have our regularly scheduled Skyrim Sunday stream. Last week, we found a couple of Daedric Lords and I think we will continue that pursuit this weekend.
The last couple of weeks I’ve been really strict on myself, making sure I post two Skyrim clips to Instagram Reels per day. I have such a huge backlog of clips, as I’ve now been working with CB Visuals for well over two years! They’ve been performing really nicely on Instagram, which has been a pleasant surprise since it can be a funny platform to find your feet with in the gaming niche.
Another fun thing that dropped today - the trailer for the new Supergirl movie! I posted a reaction clip of this to Instagram too. In the new year, I’ll be focusing a lot more time on movie reaction/review style content. I think I will start with the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. I have never been massively into super heroes, but I loved what James Gunn did with Superman, so maybe I’ll like his Marvel movies as well?
This is the last proper streaming weekend of the year now I think of it! Next weekend I’m visiting family, then the weekend after that I will be back at my Mom’s house for Christmas.
Maybe I’ll squeeze in some week day evening streams just like old times, I’ll miss you guys too much otherwise.
