I forgot how scary it is starting a new YouTube channel, but I feel pretty happy that it’s been a great success so far!
To be honest, I knew that starting my Marvel reactions with Guardians would lead to me getting a lot of unhappy comments from fans, but I felt like my reasons for doing so were valid. I also appreciate that the comments come from a place of passion, I love that. I would feel the same if somebody started Mass Effect by playing Andromeda, but at the same time I don’t think there’s ever a need to be rude or patronising about things, so a lot of comments have been deleted & users banned.
I’m new to the Marvel Superhero stuff, so I wanted to start with one that I was certain I would enjoy, considering the director, cast etc, and I’m so pleased that it exceeded my expectations and I LOVED it, and I’m now even more enthusiastic about going back to the beginning of the MCU and having that wholleeee journey ahead of me.
It has also brought in a lot more Patreon members soooo hi newbies :) I try to do a little written update like this once a week. For those who don’t know, I work part-time as a software developer Monday-Wednesday, and I stream/work on gaming (and now movie reaction) content Thursday-Sunday, well I try to have at least one day off but it is hard to switch off sometimes.
Today I’ll be recording and editing two more movie reactions - Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk (who I can see from the movie poster is not Mark Ruffalo?? Intrigued to see why that is).
Tomorrow we’ll be venturing back to Skyrim after finishing the main quest unexpectedly last week! There are a few more big storylines that we need to wrap up before we can officially say the playthrough is ‘finished’ (it will never truly be finished). I think next I want to return to the College of Winterhold!
Saturday and Sunday will be for Halo Infinite! I’d like to get that finished before I head away at the end of the month to see family, but with it being open-world-ish, I’m really unsure of how long it will take to get through.
Movie recommendation for cinema-goers this weekend - go and see Rental Family! I got to see it early as part of Odeon’s Screen Unseen event early this week and it’s SUCH a delight. Truly heartwarming stuff.
