Hey everyone!
As some of you may already know (if you follow the announcements on our Discord server), for the past two months we’ve been rebuilding the game from the ground up.
There are many reasons for this, but to sum it up: it was becoming increasingly difficult to add new QoL features, fix bugs, and implement improvements in the old version of the game. It was a mess.
That said, we seriously underestimated how long this would take. Today, I decided it’s been far too long without an update, so I’m putting up this poll.
There are two options:
Wait until we finish the new version of the game.
Pause development on the new version for a day and release the next Ashley chapter on the old version.
You probably have some questions, so let me address the ones I expect.
About the new version:I’ll go into more detail once it’s finished, but a lot of things will become much easier to implement in the new version. For this release, there will be a completely reworked flowchart and progression system.
When will it be ready?I can’t give an exact date yet. Will it take another month or some other insane amount of time? Probably not. And if it does take that long, we’ll release the new Ashley chapter regardless of the poll results.
Why does adding new chapters take so long?Even when all the assets are ready, implementing a new chapter takes a lot of time. That’s actually one of the reasons we decided to remake the game from the ground up.
