Chapter strolls through the ruined gardens, spinning cobwebs from steel, hunting oil-slick flies among the iron leaves.

An epub of the chapter is also attached below!
Happy New Year! Surprise! It's an early chapter! Or ... a late chapter??? But also early!
Ahem. Seriously, since I ended up overwhelmed over the Christmas period, I decided to go ahead and post this one early, as soon as it was complete and edited. I figure as we're on the final chapters of Katalepsis, it would be a shame to make readers wait any longer than needed. And! This is not the final chapter of Katalepsis Book One. There is, as of the time of writing, one more epilogue chapter to go, just one. I don't know exactly when I'll post it; I might post it early again, if circumstances permit, or I might have to wait until the usual publishing time (next Saturday morning, the 11th!) We'll see!
So! There you go! The second-to-last, actual for real Katalepsis epilogue chapter! I can't say anything without spoilers, of course, so I shall simply say that I hope you enjoy it, dear readers!
Oh, and Happy New Year again! And (belated!) Merry Christmas!
Meanwhile, some of you may recall that the last couple of years I've done a sort of "end of year round up" post, just to share a bit about my progress with writing over the past year and my plans for the next. This year, I'm actually going to delay that post slightly. Katalepsis Book One is finishing very soon; after I write and post the final chapter, I'm planning to write up a whole bunch of reflections and lay out my plans for the start of Book Two, how I'm going to use the break between books, share some future plans for other projects, etc. So I figured I may as well wait until then! I'll be doing a big public post along those lines once Book One is truly wrapped up.
And! Last but not least, we have some more fanart, from over on the discord server! First up we have a very fluffy and cute rendition of kaiju Tenny, (by Clericalism), then a new interpretation of Zheng looking absolutely terrifying, (by sporktown heroine), and finally a Katalepsis-inspired, Christmas-themed, horror-esque gingerbread house diorama, a sentence I never would have imagined before I typed it just now (by GhostRider!) Thank you all so much! It's all such a delight to see!
