A single dry towel lay discarded on the floor. The only sound was the low hum of refrigerators. Kurage's eyes darted between the two identical bunny girls.
Kurage: "I... see. Well, as long as the floor gets clean. You—" She pointed at the real Kuronami. "—stop teasing your... twin. And you—" She pointed at the possessed Kuro. "—stop looking so pathetic and put some elbow grease into it."
The surreal cleaning session began. Finally, with the last table wiped...
Kuro: (panting) "Hey... it's clean already. Can you give me back my body control?"
Kuronami: (leaning lazily on her mop) "Nah. I already said you must look cute there."
With a mental command, she forced Kuro's body into a cute sitting pose on the floor.
Kuro: "I can't stand your tyranny..."
The office door swung open. Kurage looked between the smirking mop-leaner and the cute-but-exhausted floor-sitter.
Kurage: "Are you two done cleaning, or is this a new kind of performance art?" She shook her head. "Anyway. Since it's Halloween, I made an orange candy. It's still liquid—I need you both to taste it before I shape and freeze it."
She dipped her finger into the vibrant syrup.
Kurage: "Now, let's see if the flavor is—"
Kuronami lunged, grabbing Kurage's wrist.
Kurage: "Kuronami?! Wha—what are you doing?!"
Kuronami: "I want to taste your flavor, Manager~"
She slowly licked the syrup from Kurage's finger. Across the room, Kuro's body jolted into motion, seizing Kurage's other hand.
Kuro: (blushing scarlet) "S-sorry, Kurage! She's forcing me to do it!"
Kurage: "Eep!"
A nosebleed trickled down. Her face turned crimson before she crumpled to the floor in a dead faint. The psychic control broke.
Kuro: "Hey... she's just laying there. Should we move her to her room?"
Kuronami: (smiling) "Help me carry her."
As they lifted her...
Kuro: "Don't you ever do that again."
Kuronami: "But look how happy she is."
They laid her on the office couch. Her eyes snapped open. She sat up, pointing at Kuro.
Kurage: "Hey, Kuro. Since you turn into her at night... how about you work here? We're short-staffed." A cunning grin spread. "You two can be our double ace—the 'Twin Black Bunnies.' The customers would lose their minds!"
Kuro: "What? No! I can't—"
Kurage: "Think about it. After class, you never go out. The change starts at 7 p.m. now, right?"
Kuro: (sighing in defeat) "Yeah. It's getting earlier. My friends are getting suspicious."
Kurage: "Exactly! So work here! I'll pay you. You get a reason to be out, a safe place, and a paycheck. Win-win-win!"
Kuro stood frozen, looking from Kurage's shrewd face to Kuronami's challenging smirk.
