That day, the Goddess of Darkness crossed the ocean.
As she walked, the water rippled gently beneath her feet, creating a shimmering effect. She had traveled halfway around the world when the first signs of pain appeared in her calves and soles. At last, she decided it was time to rest. She lifted her long, slender legs, straightened them slowly and gracefully, bending and spreading her toes with pure, gentle joy. After spending hours in the warm, salty water, the cool breeze on her damp, warm feet felt nice. She let out a soft sigh as the wind felt up the insides of her feet. She had no idea that beneath her were a bunch of skyscrapers as tall as grains of sand. She was drenched in sweat, and her soles were covered in droplets. They were so heavy that a single drop could destroy an entire neighborhood. Her eyes widened with awe and wonder as she gazed upon the vast, shimmering landscape below. It was smooth, warm, and absolutely perfect. For these little guys, it was like hitting the jackpot: the chance to lay their eyes on the soft, sweaty feet of a goddess, with a mix of awe and helplessness. She closed her eyes and tilted her head back a bit, totally relaxing.
For the first time in hours, her feet were finally cool. Her damp skin felt the air, and every tiny muscle relaxed. Below, an entire civilization was frozen in amazement and fear, completely dependent on the slow, unconscious curve of her beautiful toes.

歩くたびに、足元の水面が優しく波立ち、きらめく効果を生み出した。世界の半分を旅した頃、ふくらはぎと足の裏に初めて痛みの兆しが現れた。ついに彼女は休息の時だと決めた。長く細い脚を持ち上げ、ゆっくりと優雅に伸ばし、純粋で優しい喜びとともに指を曲げ、広げた。温かく塩辛い水に何時間も浸かった後、湿った温かい足に涼しい風が触れるのは心地よかった。風が足の裏を撫でるように感じると、彼女は柔らかいため息をついた。彼女の足元には砂粒ほどの大きさの超高層ビルが林立しているとは、彼女には思いもよらなかった。彼女は汗でびっしょり濡れ、足の裏には水滴がびっしりと付着していた。それらは非常に重く、一滴で街区全体を破壊できるほどだった。彼女の目は畏敬と驚嘆で大きく見開かれた。眼下に広がる、きらめく広大な風景を凝視しながら。それは滑らかで温かく、完璧そのものだった。小さな彼らにとって、これは宝くじに当たるようなものだった――畏敬と無力感が入り混じった感情で、女神の柔らかく汗ばんだ足を見られるチャンス。彼女は目を閉じ、少し首を後ろに傾け、完全にリラックスした。
