...Where did you go wrong? You’re just trying to look out for her. You pick the mystery object off the floor, tossing yourself back onto your living room couch as you dangle it around your face. It’s a silver pendant, oval-shaped, with a tip around its peak; funnily enough, it reminds you of a nipple. You swear it looks exactly like something you’ve seen Mel wearing recently, probably a gift from him, too. It doesn’t look cheap either. The silver piece is nice and polished, reflecting nearby light with a pretty shine; it almost feels like it’s exuding a peculiar glow thanks to it. “At least he’s thoughtful.” You don’t bother to question why your hands are stringing the piece around your neck, nor the warmth beginning to coat every inch of your body.
“Maybe he isn’t so bad…” You sigh, arms crossed in contemplation, ignorant of the rapid narrowing of your shoulders, coming to meet your slimmer neck with a much gentler slope. The torso beneath is compressed within its new limits, narrowing at your waist, slim enough to give you some feminine curves but retaining the plump padding of a woman who’s indulged in a bit too many sweets for her age, perfect to sink some fingers into...
