Patreon Poll: What type of show do you want in 2026?
DESCRIPTION

Hey Post Games supporters!

I'd like your input on how I can best use my weekly production time in 2026.

Over the past few months, I've experimented with video versions of the show as a Patreon-exclusive bonus. I never made video an official addition to either tier, because I wanted to give myself space to learn the workflow and gauge interest from y'all after you had the chance to watch a bundle of episodes.

I'm genuinely torn on which direction to go from here. Keep moving forward with video and make it an official part of the Patreon? Or reset my focus purely on audio?

On one hand, most podcast prognosticators believe video is crucial to a show's long-term viability. And I can recognize video's value, especially for bigger shows that have dedicated video editors who can put together a rich video product alongside the podcast. While my work isn't nearly as polished, I'm satisfied with what I've been able to create as a solo operation.

On the other hand, I wonder if the audio version of the show would be better if I didn't have to worry about performing for a camera and putting a few hours into video edits each week. And I also worry that I'm making a video for a very tiny portion of the audience that would be just as happy to "watch" the logo and a sound visualizer.

Truly, I don't know the answer. So, I'd like to hear from you, both through the poll and in the comments. Do you watch the video version? Do you prefer one version over the other? What parts of the show would you like to get more TLC in the coming months?

Here's the poll. And please don't worry about my workload; my work week will be the same number of hours either way. This is a question of where those hours get spent.

In 2026, I want Post Games episodes to...
