Contenders for the Wife's Expansion Factor and Body Resonance Slots
Overview
I have two stories prepared… Well, three stories(sort of). Anyway, the overview is meant to give you guys a heads-up of what to expect, and that’s what I’m doing. By two stories, I mean I’ve been drafting two stories, and by three stories, I mean the story that didn’t make it through the poll last time is back for another opportunity to shine(good luck to that one).
Now, one more thing to add is that in this poll, we’ll be choosing two stories since My Wife’s Expansion Factor is nearly ending, which won’t give me enough time to craft a fourth story for a separate poll. So, out of the three stories, we’ll be voting on two of them as well as which one comes first, so two separate polls in one.
Introduction.
For those of you who were present for the last poll, you are aware of the two categories of stories that I singled out last time. The ‘Instant Gratification’ which is stories like Growth Affliction and Living With A Succubus and the ‘Slow Burn’ which are stories like The Growth Bug, Body Resonance… Some of the stories actually feel like a mix of the two, like Wife’s Expansion Factor, which starts with Gratification before leaning into a Slow Burn. You get the gist. I’ll continue using these categories to manage expectations.
From what I’ve been able to tell, six months into writing these stories, is that you guys actually prefer ‘Slow Burns’ to stories that have more ‘Instant Gratification’. That realisation felt a little counterintuitive for me, to be honest.
Alright, enough of that! Let’s get to the part we’re all here for.
Candidates for the slot:
I have two new stories for you guys, though I’m still working on the titles, as always. You can drop suggestions in the comments if you feel like it. The naughtier and wittier ones are always the best. The third story is one some of you already know of, but I’ve still returned the description for those of you who didn’t read it. Be aware that it’s nearly a copy-paste from the previous post with a bit of my own commentary added to it.
Story One: Growth Misfits(This title is actually giving me a headache. Perhaps the description of the story will give you guys an idea of why it’s so hard to name. Hint: At one point, I had ‘Growing Orphans’ as an idea for a title, which is just… sad.)
So the idea for this story came to me during a moment of brainstorming as I sat down and thought to myself, ‘Is this the limit of the great mind I thought I had?’
No, it’s not the limit, obviously. If human imagination had a limit, authors would have run out of business, but it’s limitless and so, as I sat there contemplating, there he was…
James, the main character, a guy in his twenties trying to get through life unnoticed. He wants no relationship because his last one didn’t work out, and while the reasons for this are obvious(he’s got the measurements of a horse), there is a little more under the hood.
Why would a man of such brilliant endowment exist alone on this planet? He’s not alone. In fact, he doesn’t quite know the full details of his predicament himself, but his endowment is a result of experiments that were carried out on him and all the children at an orphanage where he grew up.
The orphanage was discovered by the authorities and shut down, so all the children were sent separate ways and lived different lives; however, in their different walks of life, they’ve stumbled into the same problem: The side effects of those experiments.
Puberty has treated them like a science project. Luckily for James, he found out that coffee helps with the urges, and at the start, it seems as though his life will proceed uneventfully when a girl from the orphanage tracks him down and will not let him go without talking to him first.
Her name is Cathy, and she wants to reconnect. James agrees, not that Cathy gives him any choice, and before he knows it, they meet at a bar and later, a restaurant. He orders enough coffee to feed a cow because he will need every drop to get through this restaurant date. Cathy is his type of woman(understatement. She’s hot), and from the very first second, James can tell that she’s aware of this.
This story would be cut and dry(I think that’s how the phrase is used) if these two were the only two moving pieces, but the orphanage held roughly 40 kids, and ever since they hit puberty, they’ve all gone through their fair of sh*t. Some have given up(like James), but others(like Cathy) have been looking for each other with the hope of being compatible enough to never have to hold back their ‘urges’. A few others have even more sinister plans, like ‘what if I found three of the girls and I was the only boy?’
Cathy is not the only one searching for a boy from the orphanage, and James might not be the only boy in this story(though the other boy is intended to be an antagonist).
Story Two: Dating My Growing Crush(This title feels right. I might go with it. Drop suggestions in the comments)
It’s been thirty years since the advent of the Ambrosia Society of Fertility. Science predicted a reduction in human fertility that would lead the human race to go extinct in a matter of decades, and in a bid to combat that, this Society of Fertility was born. A team of researchers came up with a chemical formula that was later mass-produced in a mandatory ‘Growth Pill’ to be taken at the age of twenty-four.
The norm in society is that the pill is to be taken usually at the end of one’s undergraduate degree. This story focuses on a young man named Calvin.
Calvin has always had a crush on this one girl in his class. She’s picture perfect(well, to him). Her silky blonde hair, the way she walks, even her laugh. All of it is too perfect for him, and he’s aware it’s weird that he thinks that.
They are somewhat friends… acquaintances… awkward friends at best. So, after stalking this poor girl(and trying to create opportunities to interact with her) for the greater part of college, he finally comes up with the perfect plan to ask her out, and he, somehow, decides it’s a good idea to do it on the same night of the day they are both slated to take the Growth Pill, during the esteemed ‘Fertility’ party.
I mean, this guy goes all out with flowers, candles, the whole shebang, and gets down on one knee during the class ‘Fertility’ party.
She rejected him, as you can imagine.
Let me backtrack a little bit. Calvin was in love, but he wasn’t stupid enough to just walk up to a girl he’d never talked to and announce his emotions in this grand gesture without some hope that she’d say yes(Bahahaha! Okay, maybe he was a bit stupid, but he did really think his plan was brilliant. I mourn his lack of foresight).
His reasoning was that they were friends(it was a budding friendship still in its awkward phases). He just… misinterpreted all her friendly acts towards him and thought he had a chance because let’s face it, he was smitten.
On the same day, they take the Fertility pill, and as luck would have it, by evening, the girl was positively glowing, having gained a few pounds in places Calvin would never stop staring. There were other girls similar to her in this regard, and she had no end to the number of boys who approached her that night, but all she rejected.
Calvin could not have been more sure of his plan. He would later come to ask himself what the Fertility pill had done for him to think he had an opportunity with a girl that beautiful and out of his league(I mean, some of the guys she’d turned away had been literal 10s with the whole package shamefully on display in tight shorts and rather ill-fitting shirts displaying their newfound muscle.
It’s a story as old as time… Only when she rejected him, something broke inside him. Calvin dies inside… for three years. Fast forward. He’s now working, and his life is slowly getting better. It’s the right amount of interesting. He watches Netflix, goes out to the movies with his friends, and occasionally goes out drinking with co-workers before retiring to his apartment, to rinse and repeat.
The Fertility Pill did its work after a few days of him taking it, but by then, he didn’t give a shit, and he was rather disappointed that all it gave him was a bigger ‘package.’ (It also made him more handsome, but his self-esteem was too low for him to see that).
His life seemed to be settling down into a straight line when he met the same girl at a merger. Two companies are coming together to bring more to the world of technology, and she’s one of the representatives being sent over to their offices.
She looks good. A lot better than she used to look back then, and this includes her body. I mean, had her breasts been that big during the Fertility party? They were easily E-cups now, right?
Calvin gave up on dating her, though, didn’t he? The thought swam in his head right until she walked up to him and struck up a conversation. It’s the start of a friendship he doesn’t know how to deal with.
With just a ‘hi’, Calvin understood that he’d never gotten over her. He still loves Ruby, but his heart still remembers the pain, too. Will their friendship develop into something greater? Will Calvin push Ruby away? Why did Ruby approach him in the first place? Is she perhaps a narcissistic arsehole trying to figure out if he still likes her? Either way, Calvin can’t see a situation where he ends up happy with this friendship… yet he can’t find it in himself to decisively push her away either.
It doesn’t help that the Fertility pill enhances attraction towards a mate one finds suitable, much like Calvin undoubtedly finds Ruby.
He’s missed her attention, and she looks way too good.
‘Fuck…’ was all he could say a few chapters down the line.
Story Three: The Royal Fertility Curse/The King’s Affliction(This one’s from the poll we had last time. I haven’t worked on the title since then, so it will probably evolve from this)
This story follows a character called Ryan who’s the prince of the Kingdom of Mareola(I laughed at this(again). Still not changing it.). Ryan’s lineage is cursed, and this curse makes it nearly impossible for the king to have a child unless certain conditions are met. Among those conditions is that he must have sex far more vigorous and demanding than the one that led to his conception(talk about surpassing your elders).
This curse wasn’t that demanding on the king who contracted it, but fifteen generations later, Ryan finds himself with an impossible task. His father is said to have fucked the queen for six hours straight and broken a bed made from Great Oak, the strongest wood in the kingdom, just to conceive his son(Damn… I didn’t hold back with this story). Even then, the powerful king was unable to pull off such a feat ever again.
As a result of this curse, the kingdom has developed traditions. The prince has multiple suitors, all with one task in mind: To have the prince make them pregnant.
It’s been five years, and there hasn’t been a single sign of success. Tensions are getting high… and some of the suitors are getting rather creative ideas(involving magic). Ideas which just might do the trick and bring to an end the curse that threatens to end their kingdom’s royal bloodline.
It’s come back to me. I will write this story one day, if it doesn’t win in this poll, that is. So don’t vote for it out of pity. Vote for what you want to read sooner.
Conclusion
And there you have it. Three stories, and just so I don’t get stuck while writing them, I’ve already written a few chapters and planned out a few more to keep it running while the stories continue to develop and grow without stalling my publishing.
The winner will start releasing on the 14th, which is a Tuesday on my calendar. The two fresh stories feel more like Slow burns, but the first is quicker to the action than the second(as far as I can tell right now. Stories tend to play out just a bit differently from the plan, which is normal).
