UPDATE + GREYLOCK Trivia

Hello everyone,

First, my sincerest apologies for the next episodes taking as long as they are. We dealt with pretty severe data loss. Basically, every single CGI project was lost when an external hard drive fried. Hundreds of gigabytes and more were just gone, but thanks to the genius of Matt Reeves, we were able to recover these files. It was up in the air for a bit, and I didn’t know precisely what I was going to be able to make happen, but it looks like things will be fine and we’re still moving forward with production.

Now, for a little “fun” fact behind one of the episodes: TROJAN TECHNOLOGY.

You may recall during this episode that Percival Rothwell, SimioDyn USA’s CEO, was on a recorded call with an associate after President Kenny told SimioDyn to hit the bricks in regards to their civilian spy tech. Rothwell mentions that Kennedy has already made a lot of powerful enemies (“snakes in the grass”), and references an executive order (Executive Order 11110) that Kennedy had issued, and an “Operation Northwoods”.

Both of these events are completely authentic and are inserted, along with others, into GREYLOCK as a bit an “Easter egg” of sorts, but also to provide some information, especially regarding the darkness of our actual reality. So, I decided to show you here a little bit about the Operation Northwoods reference, so you know precisely what it is.
